The last light of the day was still clinging to everything.

Rapunzel had run farther than she meant to. The path along the water had been empty, the air warm, and she just… kept going. By the time she stopped, her skin was shining and her breath was still a little quick.

The tight teal crop top had slipped off one shoulder. The matching shiny leggings hugged every line of her hips and thighs, the fabric so thin it left almost nothing to the imagination. A faint sheen of sweat ran down her stomach and disappeared under the waistband.

She sat on the low stone wall first, one knee pulled up, hair spilling over her shoulder like it had a mind of its own. Then she stretched — one long leg lifted high, toes pointed, the other knee on the warm pavement. The pose made the leggings pull even tighter. She knew it. She didn’t adjust them.

Later she dropped to her knees on the sand, still catching her breath, looking up through her lashes with that same bright, slightly flushed expression she always got after she’d pushed herself. The sheer sleeves of the top had ridden up. The sports bra underneath was damp and clinging.

She turned, looking back over her shoulder, one hand resting on the curve of her ass. The sunset caught every drop of sweat on her back.

The tower was a long time ago.

Tonight it was just the last of the sun, the stretch in her muscles, and the way those leggings left nothing hidden when she moved.
