Rapunzel — The Halloween Mummy (452 photos) (Patreon)

Corona did Halloween the way it did everything else: lanterns, pumpkins on the steps, and a street that smelled like caramel and woodsmoke. Rapunzel had other plans for the linen.
She had spent the afternoon in the tower room with a roll of white bandage and a pair of shears, cutting the wraps so they would not cover what she wanted seen. A bandeau crossed under her chest and tied in a bow at the back. Strips circled her arms to the wrist and stopped. The bottoms were a high white brief with a few loose bands over the hips and thighs, torn on purpose so the skin showed through. A collar of the same cloth sat at her throat. Her hair she left down. Seventy feet of gold was costume enough.
By the time the lamps were lit she was on the cobbles outside the Snuggly Duckling, one hand in her hair, the other on her hip, green eyes bright under the lanterns. A carved pumpkin grinned beside the door. Someone whistled. She looked over her shoulder and smiled like she had been waiting for it.
Inside, the rug was red and the sofa was deeper red, and she took both. Knees apart on the cushions, wraps loosened at the thigh, one arm draped along the back. The bands across her stomach had slipped. She did not fix them. A man from the square followed the hair in from the street and stopped when he saw how little of the mummy was left.
"You're early," she said, barefoot, the last strip of linen trailing off her calf. "I was going to finish unwrapping myself."
He shut the door. Outside, a bat cut across the lamp. Inside, she lifted her arms, the wraps sliding, and let him take the loose end at her hip.
"Start there," Rapunzel said. "The rest comes off easy."
