There is an old story about a Jedi who tried to capture a flame in a lantern. He polished the glass, decorated the handle, told everyone how magnificent the fire was...and eventually forgot the only reason anyone gathered was because the flame was already warm. Watching Ciampa and Gargano reminds me of that. At their best, nobody had to tell us they were cool. Johnny’s obsession, Ciampa’s cruelty, the history between them...it made every violent choice mean something. Even the finish works because Johnny finally defeats himself. His hatred becomes stronger than his judgment. Fear is only the first teacher...and I think WWE keeps forgetting that lesson. Solo smashing Roman’s glasses, LA Knight standing over Roman, Punk and Owens speaking like two men who actually dislike each other...that feels alive. You cannot manufacture that by surrounding somebody with celebrities, branding, “moments,” or telling us how important they are while half your gifted roster waits beyond the Outer Rim. The Council lied to you. Wrestling does not become cool when WWE announces that wrestling is cool. It becomes cool when characters want something badly enough that we forget somebody booked it. Trust the Living Force. When the flame is real, you never have to tell anyone it burns. The fireflies have spoken...

I really like the finish because it shows the hatred that johnny had for ciampa just completely took over his mind and overruled any rationality he may have had in that moment and it cost him
