For them them might enjoy seeing the kids of Naruto I mean I half excited at first with all the filler about the kids but now I kinda enjoy have seen some of the fillers instead of just hoping right into the action and both Naruto and Boruto are two completely starts I mean Naruto kicks off with no peace and it's straight war and in boruto it starts with peace but well you know later in the show so that's why in boruto it takes awhile to get the real action and that's why it's so exciting where its at in the manga

Ok in that regard how was Naruto not equally genetically gifted. Dad is minato the yellow flash hokage and mom was Kushina chosen to be Jinchuriki. Yet Naruto had to struggle and really work to get his abilities. Which is why good stories have underdogs at first

Technically anime canon. Some of the stuff is canonish because it is based on a Boruto light novel that is considered canon to the manga. Boruto canon vs non canon is kinda a mess.

This technically is manga canon. The novels are part of the manga continuity in which the Sumire arc was adapted into a novel and illustrated by Ikemoto. Three academy arcs (specifically Boruto's) were adapted into novels for the manga continuity. The academy entrance/Sumire arc, the hidden mist, and wx graduation exam arcs. These arcs are referenced in the manga so they're definitely canon.
