Hallo everynyan..! happy cherry crush.... day.. i'm always so ashamed whenever i post an episode and its not cherry crush friday 😭😭😭

This episode was quite tricky to write but it's pretty important because i really wanted to highlight how both cherie and crush has changed since season 3, since season 3 was deconstructing crush's need to center cherie in everything, season 4 is deconstructing their entire relationship in general, that's why they had to go through so many difficult things and having really difficult conversations with each about how they both changed as people and how the relationship also changed with them since then, it's the last season so obviously i loveee doing a lot of callbacks to recontextualize previous situations they were in, i think as i mature cherry crush also matures with me 😭😭my view on love and relationship has changed a lot since i first started drawing this comic so i wanted to reflect that as well, relationships are hard work and both cherie crush have worked so so hard to be with each other, it's kind of crazy that they're not married bc in my head i already wrote them like they are 😭😭😭

I also wanted to show what kind of person Crush used to be before he met cherie/fell for Cherie and most people already kinda knew anyways but i loveee doing cold open flashbacks bc that's usually how i tie it back into the present to show the changes and development the characters went through, Crush and Cherie both influence each other and they also kind of swapped places? Compared to them running from Chohan in season 3 where Cherie was the one not wanting to leave and Crush being okay with abandoning everything and everyone, this time it's Cherie being okay to abandon people and Crush wanting to say goodbyes. Between the two of them Cherie was always the more social one, and Crush the more distant one, so the contrast between then and now where Cherie's the one that just wants to be safe and alone versus the Crush being the one with real connections really highlights their development..! and i wanted to highlight that Crush only became more sociable and compassionate because he's been shown so much compassion from Cherie, and Cherie being more cautious and hesitant is a direct result of living under constant threat with Crush... idkkkk i just loveeee doing character study on my own characters idk if anyone gaf but i love analyzing how they navigate through the world and hardships and how it shows that both of them changed each other in ways that they don't even notice..
