The City of the Dead is calling and for some stupid reason we picked up the phone! It led us straight into the catacombs and now our trauma runs deeper than the tunnels in Paris 🙃 After all, as they say...the only way out is down!

Also does it, or does it not feel like this is national treasure just horror like to me anyways

Maybe it's just because it's Friday and this week has sucked, but this movie did not make a lot of sense to me. You two are better people than me though because I was actively rooting for Scarlett to die. She was so grating, which may have been the point, but yeah... I was not a fan. Ben Feldman (George) was in a pretty good comedy called Superstore. The first couple of seasons are really funny. It also starred America Ferrera. It's on both Hulu and Peacock. You'd probably enjoy him in that as well. He plays a much less traumatized character. 😆

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the movie at first been when it started to get to all the ghosts, demons and plunging further and further down, I was captivated. I thought how they got out at the end was awesome and kinda saw it come by the title. Them going so far down, the only way out was like to shoot back up somehow. haha. So, Scarlett has the correct stone now? She put the sun stone back and looked like she found the real stone but idk. haha

One of the best found footage horror movies I’ve seen. It doesn’t make sense until you rewatch or do a YouTube deep dive but there’s a lot of substance matter and small details are everything. Basically what started as an adventure for the philosopher stone, turned into a trek through the 9 rings of hell, they each confronted their biggest sin and some lived, some didn’t. The figure in the robe was satan and the empty cold chamber with his seat was his throne.

I would have never set foot in that situation. I would have asked George to go back to my hotel and Scarlett can go down in the cave. While she going down to hell, I would be making George's toes curl like the Wicked Witch.

LizB

Protect George at all costs.

“if you’re a Scarlett fan 👀” I would trust you guys with my life. Y’all definitely made all the right decisions. Starting with…. “I’m not crawling into that hole” in the very beginning lol 😆

azulaghoul

I feel like I can't get scared from this movie after seeing Ben Feldman play Jonah on Superstore lol

Stephanie Ella

I am extremely claustrophobic.. 😳

Kiran

Love this movie! I like the theory that Scarlet knew the whole time…it just fits.

CatahoulaMom117

The amount of batteries and flashlights I would be carrying. Plus, water, food, first aid! Honey please!

Amanda

I’m so thrilled you guys watched this movie!! It’s such a good one! And yes, fully prepared to pay for therapy! 🙏😝

Tanesha

I agree. Not a fan of Scarlett. But love this movie.

Ae Evans

⚡️Spoilers⚡️ As someone with claustrophobia this movie's giving me as much anxiety as The Descent. And isn't the bone dust they're inhaling from a bunch of plague victims too? If I wanted to be around a bunch of old bones I'd do it at an above ground ossuary, or in a museum - I used to want to be an archaeologist until I realized I could never go anywhere they do without having a panic attack. I wouldn't answer that ghost phone, or play that creepy piano. Yeah, let's go further underground, great idea 🙄...idiots. I hate creepy kids, and they're all creepy. Siouxie like Siouxsie and the Banshees. I want to root for Scarlet because she's smart and brave and beautiful, but she sucks, and I don't think they're getting out of there. Who sees the inscription to the gates of hell and thinks 'Let's go that way!' - I don't believe in heaven and hell or god and the devil and I still wouldn't go, I'd stay die in the tomb. Bye Siouxie, the rest'll probably see you soon. I don't think that found footage is ever getting found though. This is what you get for going into the gates of hell, never a good idea. I'm amazed anyone survived, wouldn't be surprised if they're still in some weird alternate dimension though. All in all I liked it.

Another great reaction but I love about you guys is that I rewatching films that I haven't seen for a long time and I'm actually liking them more than I did the first time. As I said in another comment I appreciate how we're able to actually watch the movie with you instead of having to watch it another device and all that. So I didn't like the Scarlet hate that was kind of bothersome and I got really sick of hearing about George but other than that great reaction you guys keep it up.

Chrissy

Cheys fast blinks at “if you’re a Scarlett Stan” absolutely the fuck not. 😂😂 I’d be a parasite clinging to George When Taupe said Come, follow me, I said “what, to my death?!” And they all follow?? And as the roof is collapsing, George says, “is that safe?” Stay pretty George, Stay pretty 🤦🏻‍♀️
