This was wild! At least I got to watch it right along with you two! These girls had such vivid, colorful & quite intense imaginations. "It is normal & happy you fucking cunt!" Loved it! Lmao Melanie & Kate were superb! The looks of absolute disgust Pauline gives her mum....brilliant! And when Juliet yells, rants & raves....incredible! I wish Melanie/Kate were friends today. I would love to see them collaborate in anything again. As the mum of 4 adult 'children', cats are not as messy lol but ya know, I gotta tell ya, life wouldn't be the same without them 💜 and yes, I'm definitely a mad lesbian 🤪😘

I have always LOVED this beautiful, tragic, heartbreaking, complex fantasy horror true crime film. The direction from Jackson and all the performances are good, but Melanie and Kate are absolutely incredible here, despite their young ages when they made it. Melanie got Paulette’s downward head tilt spot on, and Kate actually resembled the real 16 yr old Juliette a lot too btw. I wasn’t even born for many decades past when this true crime actually happened, but I’ve always been somewhat drawn to this case. I believe the judge in the case got it right when he said it was highly unlikely either one of them would have ever murdered anyone had they never met the other. And that poor woman would have never died knowing her own daughter was killing her 😩

Do teenage boys have such rich fantasy lives?! I think they just wank in their bedrooms. I haven't seen this since the late '90s but I remember it being absolutely bonkers. It also reminds me of that 2004 film My Summer of Love-- another teen girl sapphic tale of obsession and fantasy, starring Emily Blunt. Happy Pride 🏳️‍🌈.
