The games are still ON. And while the throne may be desperate for a King, what’s truly ruling Season Four is the MOTHERING. The girlies are snatched, the crown is contested, and alliances are shifting faster than we can clutch our pearls, but surely nothing can hurt us as long as Pedro Pascal is around… (or so we naïvely thought 🙃👑🐦‍⬛❄️)

Oberyn already knew, or at least suspected under whose order Mountain was working. Everybody knew that the Mountain could only be kept in check by Tywn, and anything he would do would be under the direct or implied permission from Tywin. He did many violent and cruel things, and if Tywin didn’t order them, he put up with them because Mountain was loyal to him, and very powerful/strong fighter whom few could match or defeat. On confessing in public, he would out that he killed Elia and her children on Tywin’s orders. Whether he raped her on his orders or on his volition is unknown. This confession would make Tywin the prime accused for the murder of Elia and her kids. Most people don't understand this and are like "he shouldn't have been so cocky"

I never actually watched THAT part in the mountain and the viper before today, but you've given me the bravery to keep my eyes open. It was just as horrifying as I imagined in my head. Probably one of the most brutal things I've ever seen on TV. Pedro had my heart from the second I saw him on this show...sigh.

it really is so traumatic that y'all had to watch Pedro die by being brutally bashed in the head twice in one week...really the only way to process is remembering Arya laughing when she found out yet another beacon of hope was snatched away from her. She is us.

Sorry, I’m # TeamFuckShae too! I have been wronged, wronged, wrooooonged in love before, but still I could never be so underhanded as to help put the person who broke my heart to death for it. Even the lesser evil of airing her and Tyrion’s intimate, vulnerable moments to the whole courtroom to mock and ridicule is beyond what I could do to the worst of my exes. That’s just too much of a betrayal and I couldn’t do it to anyone, let alone someone I’d shared my heart with. But even before that, Shae went from a character I really liked to one I really couldn’t stand anymore when she kept refusing to see the situation that she, Tyrion and Sansa were in beyond just her own wants and needs. If she really cared for Tyrion and Sansa as much as she claimed, at the least she should’ve stopped making things more difficult for them both (especially Tyrion) by being obstinate and demanding. And by not accepting that this wasn’t something either of them wanted and were instead forced into. Honestly, the best thing for all involved would have been if Shae had taken Varys up on his generous offer and left. In particular, if she really loved Tyrion, she would’ve already understood just how much she was putting him in danger by staying there, and would have accepted leaving was the right thing to do. Instead, it felt like selfish pride that made her (stupidly!) refuse his offer and stay.

okay you made me feel better about saying Fuck Shae in the first place 😩 because I do agree with everything you said!! kind of a disappointing conclusion for a character we enjoyed so much 😔 but it is what it is I guess

I totally agree! I felt the writers did our girl dirty when they changed her from a fierce Ride Or Die Queen to a silly jealous 3rd wheel. She deserved better 😔

I found you two a few months ago through Yellowjackets reactions and just love you! I watched GOT when it was on originally and was so excited to rewatch with you. I have a baby boy who happens to have a form of dwarfism that is similar to Peter Dinklage's, so this rewatch has been emotional for me. The scene where Oberyn is talking to Tyrion about how he visited him as a baby and was expecting a monster and was disappointed because he was just a baby made me bawl. Tyrion means so much to me now. Thanks for the reactions!

Pretty sure we can assume she didn’t only do it because she was a woman scorned……? We saw Tywin command to have her brought to his room during Joffrey‘s wedding. They likely held her since then. Her life was on the line. It‘s not #fuckshae considering that. Without Tyrion and in Tywin/Cersei‘s grasp, she literally had no choice but to play nice with them and to do what they say.

Daneryes is by far the most beautiful, angelic, kind hearted yet vengeful, and firm believer in justice then any character portrayel as a queen. She's perfect. I believe in revenge myself not forgiveness or mercy when I'm wronged or I see wrong doing which is another reason I love this character. Wes, I heard you say you shouldn't have said that about (shaye) because you Stand by girls...so even though she was lying out of her teeth and very well will contribute to the death of an innocent man your giving her a pass because she's a girl? That's very sexist for being non sexist don't you think?
