I'm in the minority. I don't think it's okay to weaponise dragons, the equivalent of nukes for this time. Unneccary burning of prisoners is insane. Beheading is enough, it's painless and the soldiers in the Lannister army aren't any more evil than the Stark soldiers. Ned stark beheaded people and the Boltons flayed people for a reason. It's not normal for your impulse to be torturous deaths. I hate how every viewer seems to miss the whole point of the show. We should be moving away from dehumanisation of the civilians and foot soldiers. Dany wouldn't have had to resort to this story-wise if they didn't dumb down Tyrion intentionally. They're purposefully making everyone on Dany's side shit at strategy to make room for cruelty. God, I really hate these last two seaons.

Once you're done with the series you should look at some of Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams' social media posts they did together back in the day - it was so fun watching them be on screen together in the seventh season because they got so close off screen but didn't have any scenes together so it felt like a reunion in more than one way!

Right people forget the whole thing with George is he subverts tropes and really I think the whole thing was he has cheering just like Tyrion kind of says in that last episode... we cheered for her in all this violence but when it gets too close to home they pull the rug like see you rooted for this you really wanted it and it's a way for it all of us to kind of look inward hey why are we all this violence. I think he was trolling us all along with the writing lol as way to perhaps look at things in different ways. Gotta love he tricked most the world into watching and reading fantasy who hated before haha. That's the beauty of a long lost magical world coming back...balanced world, & decent writing.

I'm still in the middle of episode 4, but I wonder if you realized while watching this that Lord Tarly and Dickon are Sam's dad and brother? Won't blame you if you didn't, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have caught on my first watch if I hadn't remembered Sam's last name at that point, since I had been watching the show for so many years it was easier to remember it. I nearly didn't realize it on my rewatch with you, haha.
