The virus is evolving, mutations are revolving, and it wouldn't be a Petty Pumpkins reaction if we weren't involving ourselves in all the trauma-drenched drama in this first-time watch of 28 YEARS LATER! This decades-later sequel pulls no punches—emotionally or otherwise—and had us screaming, shrieking, and spiraling through every second of rage-fueled chaos. It's bleak, it's brutal...it's Danny Boyle!🔥 💉🩸🧬🚫

Amanda Caroline

I just watched this last night!! I was not expecting yall to react to this so soon! 🙂🙃🙂 so happy that I’ll get to watch it again with my favorite reactors! 🫶🏼

Also when you said it was camp early on in the movie and immediately my mind went to the ending lmfao

Sisi M

What a wonderful suprise!

The reviews of this movie were largely awful, so I was expecting to be disappointed. It could've played safe by being just another horror movie with all the old, played out zombie/infected tropes. Instead, the people behind it gave us something much more challenging and thought provoking. The acting throughout the movie was top quality, with Alfie Williams being particularly outstanding. F*ck the critics, this was very good !

I cried so hard during that one scene, oh my god. I’m exhausted. Loved seeing Ralph Fiennes and Jack O’Connell, again (and Aaron Taylor Johnson even though his character was a jerk).

I enjoyed this one a lot and I think all three are very different in terms of films, which makes them fun to watch and compare

Lavender Violet

Me too. I was going to comment something similar. I was expecting nothing, and I enjoyed it.

I could not agree more about Alfie Williams. What a truly outstanding performance. I hope he has an amazing career ahead of him. I enjoyed this waaayyy more than I expected to. I liked that it was more about the human relationships and less about the monsters. That is right up my alley. I loved Spike's relationship with his mom. I have loved Jodie Comer since Killing Eve. She was amazing in this. I wasn't 100% sold on the ending scene. It was so jarring particularly after the heartfelt scenes that came before it, but it wasn't enough to ruin the movie for me. PS- I kept waiting for you to "recognize" Edvin Ryding and I was genuinely shocked when you said that you hadn't seen Young Royals. Like- so stunned. 😲 It's a good one. You should watch it sometime for sure. Doesn't have to be a reaction, but I really think you two would like it.

Are they color coded to be the TELETUBBIES at the end?!?! 🤯

The Movie Buff

The boots poem is so creepy with and without the music

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t excited for this movie. Zombie flicks aren’t my thing. I can’t BELIEVE how good this movie was. I can’t believe how emotional it made me. I really enjoyed the kid actor, and I also do not really enjoy watching kids. Overall, outstanding film. I’ll definitely be watching it again.

I really enjoyed seeing this in theaters, and it felt like a return to the energy of the first film. And I am so freaking excited for Bone Temple.

I genuinely don’t think a lot of people were expecting the tone shift at about 56 minutes in. But for me, it made the whole film. Because it’s a coming of age for Spike. Not a revenge or survival narrative the way we the audience might even expect. We’re getting stories about masculinity that rejects toxicity and I love it so much.

1:38:00 thereabouts. I’m crying right now watching it again. Because it’s so beautiful. Kelson gives her something no one really gets in this world of 28… a peaceful death. One with minimal pain. One where she will be able to be remembered as she was. I think it’s also why it’s important Spike places her skull. Not Kelson. It’s so thematic and gorgeous and I’m gonna go back to crying.

Dark Harvest

I watched the youtube edit and I'm back here to see the whole show. I liked it, the relationship between Mother and son was beautiful. IMO, the best so far.

Jonathan Blevins

What a weird ending also why does he look like that! Why is Jimmy even in this, his part is very useless. Why wasn’t Aaron’s character Jimmy. I assumed he would be

Stephanie Ella

I just knew he was going to name that baby girl Isla.. 😢
