I might need to rewatch "I Care A Lot" after this.

Valeria Ras

Drogon took Dany to the Red Priestesses to be resurrected. Thats my version and Im sticking to that💔💕💖

Sisi M

Sansa is my favorite character in this show. Her finally being named Queen of the North was my happy ending.

Blitzynatural

There's a meme somewhere out there with Brienne writing in the Burn Book and that will never not be funny to me.

Petra

The ending was written by lady Catlyn; All her kids are living their dream and Jon gets send away to the wall once again😂♥️

Rebecca Hopkins

Well here we are again, and I’m so sorry 😢 😭 When you first started watching this I so badly wanted to tell you not to do it. Because it will only break your heart, and leave you bitter and gutted in the end. But of course I couldn’t tell you that. Cause that would have been a spoiler. But now I’m shouting from the top of the red keep to LEAVE THIS ONE ALONE. Yes it’s magnificent. Yes it’s thrilling and beautiful at times. It’s grand in scope and is truly one of the greatest accomplishments that has ever graced tv. But, after 8 seasons of love, death, war, friendships, family, enemies, tyranny, murder, white walkers, heroes, villains, queens, kings, and of course DRAGONS, this ending will rip your heart out. And I can’t help but still wonder if I would have been better off having never watched it at all. 😂 I will end with this: JON SHOULD HAVE BEEN KING. He actually WAS the Prince that was promised. 🤷‍♀️

Melodie Ladner

Love this for Rickon and I'm not even joking.

Crystal

Allow me to air out my grievances lol: I HATE that Bran, someone who isn’t even meant to be integrated into society because he’s the three eyed raven, became king. I hate that they killed Dany and gaslit us to think she’s crazy when she’s been soo aware the whole show. I wanted Cersei to either suffer more or be killed by Arya. I feel like season 7 should’ve focused on taking Westeros, the North should’ve come south to fight that. Then season 8 should have been the battle against the knight king in the capital. That way as they are all coexisting together tensions and paranoia rises, they kill the knight king and that paranoia justifies characters being killed. Idk lol once we get past the long night in season 8 it’s just downhill for me

Cameron Ferguson

As a Dany stan, do I understand her having to die? Yes. Do I hate how it was executed? Double yes lol.

creeper doodle

Ah yes. Daenerys Targaryen, who is notoriously a delusional monster. Makes total sense. Smh.

creeper doodle

Man, I fucking hate how they take Dany who freed slaves and ruled in Essos justly and was loved, and turned it into a 'hah, you think she was GOOD?' like, yes bestie??? She was literally good? What's so wrong with actually freeing slaves and being a PROVEN just and kind ruler? Suddenly freeing slaves means that youre flying, mecha hitler i guess?????

creeper doodle

Also, how fucking gross it is to take Dany, a victim of abuse and r*pe, and to have the man she loves literally stab her in the heart after tricking her to let down her guard with affection and the love she desires. Sickening.

creeper doodle

Literally they gaslit us about Dany, and people legit just fall for it. No one thought show Dany was going to 'go mad' until the showrunners said 'well we TOLD you it was gonna happen', then suddenly everyone saw it coming, even though it doesnt even make sense for the Dany the showrunners cooked up.

creeper doodle

Omg I forgot about the self glaze the showrunners did in this episode. 'Stories unite people. Theres nothing more powerful than a good story.'

ccadalin

This is the first time I've gone back and watched the final season cause I mentally deleted pretty much all of it from my mind due to the amount of disdain I have towards it. Has my opinion changed 6 years later, nope absolutely not. That being said I am glad they found enjoyment and formed their own opinion and in the end that is all they wanted. Watching them watch the final season was better than the final season.

Joshua Scott

Dany did not deserve what they did her character. I am not a huge fan of how they ended the series. I blame Warner and HBO for it.

ariel mermaid

Yes I feel the same way about because reactors don’t rewatch the show like we did they forget Danny was a great person and this was out of nowhere

Libs

The executive producers/showrunners got an offer to make the next Star Wars Trilogy in 2017/2018 (and very likely hundreds of millions of dollars more than their GOT salary), so the theory is that they turned last season of GOT into a long trailer for Star Wars 😭 But in the end they FLOPPED that too and lost the contract for the trilogy, very possibly bc of how hated they became for what they did with GOT, and what it said about their writing abilities means they probably didn’t write the quality script Lucas Films was looking for 😂

Libs

Drogon: all that for this ugly chair?!? Also, y’all have described this season perfectly: a movie with great cinematography, a soap opera, Survivor/Traitors, a sitcom. The problem isn’t that it’s bad TV on its own, it’s that we signed up for a slow burn, intellectual, witty, layered, *consistent,* dialogue-driven show with an intricate ensemble plot, zero fan service, chess-level social dynamics, detailed world-building, and nuanced characters—who we saw stew and change inch by inch. The writing used to assume the audience was SMART and patient… Then, we were given a popcorn action blockbuster with zero regard for the world that had been built for seven years. In terms of continuity and respecting your audience, it’s awful. Also “Bran the broken” is SOOOO offensive 😭

Violet

"Bran, the noodle legs Bran, half off, Brandon, is a cripple" like....when I first heard them call him that, I couldn't believe my ears!! Why not "Bran, the three eyed raven" ?! Bran, the BROKEN?!

nehushta

Seasons 7 and especially 8 still have the “hype moments and aura” of the earlier seasons but if you really think about it you realize that half the shit happening on screen lowkey doesn’t make sense 😭

Mia

What makes the ending even worse is when you realize all the stark and tyrion plot armor they’ve had the past couple seasons for no reason. Dragons only have loyalty to their rider. Drogon would’ve killed jon and probably burned everyone in retaliation. Jon was never a better person than Dany its just too much brainwashing in the writing. Tyrion saying Dany killing the slave masters was bad like WHAT?? The same Tyrion that wanted slavery to continue for 7 years more btw.

Gregory Willett

I liked the last season. But then again I wasn't a die hard book fan. I get why people didn't like it. Excited for some ☆HOTD☆ boyyyzzzz

K

This last season should have begun with the assault on Kings Landing and ended with the defeat of the Night King. Dany being the last person to die in the series made her the biggest villain out of Little Finger, Ramsey Bolton, Cersi and the White Walkers.

candle

You can’t say this was out of nowhere when she’s been threatening to burn cities to the ground if she didn’t get her way since season 2.

candle

I fw this episode so heavy. Emilia‘s speech is one of the best acting she’s gotten to do all series and the mad queen arc is just so tragically beautiful I live. This dany is so much more complex and compelling than the boring „benevolent mother“ act. Babes this is GOT if I wanted to sit around the fire singing kumbaya I‘d watch something else. Give me despair

K

In one episode they turned her i to a Nazi.

K

No different that what they had Ramsey Bolton do to Sansa.

creeper doodle

Fucking true. Its gross. And then to have Sanas basically say she was... happy it happened? Honestly, I hate those men.

K

Whwn y'all remember how the producers were going to make a show called "Confederate" about what if the south won the Civil War you understand they aren't great storytellers outside of adapting source material that someone else created.

K

Tyrone telling Jon to kill Dany becaise he's the true male Tarygaryen heir only for Tyrion to then make Bran king and exile Jon back to the Wall that is no longer necessary is one of the the stupidest plot twists ever.

K

Che, that wasn't snow. That was the ash of all the people she incinerated.

☆ n e s s y ☆

look up the character Lady Stoneheart - one of the most shocking things left out of the series in my opinion! and y'all will eat it up trust me!! please no one comment hate to me or argue i just wanted to be honest with my own perspective as someone who was reading the books back in 2002-i always thought Dany would end up this way & it would be Jon. The title of the books series is a song of ice & fire- & with a lot of prophecies that are in books & word of mouth from characters in the book....this ending it just always made sense to me. i was shocked by how many people think Dany is character assassination (tv fans AND book readers alike) & how many people thought Jon would be king. i'm not saying this to sound like a know it all or say that i'm right but to say some elements of the ending were very much suspected by some people out there for a long long time & not EVERYONE has pure outrage & despair when it comes to the ending. people always loved to debate me when this show was airing that i was INSANE for thinking Dany & Jon would end up this way. Two different people genuinely kinda bullied me when jon died on the show- your end prediction has to be wrong now & id smirk & you'll see he's coming back- same with the hound! (which in the books neither of them being alive is confirmed yet) i truly believe the pacing of the last few seasons & not having the books to go off & leaving certain things from the book out created a MESS- also i don't think ALL the characters & how they end up make sense. i'm mostly focused on dany & jon.

Petty Pumpkins

same!!!!! it's been a week since we watched this and i've been thinking about her getting crowned every day 🤭

Petty Pumpkins

Just want to say we are reading everyone's comments on all these GOT season 8 videos, though it is hard to respond to everyone! But we are enjoying reading everything y'all are saying so much! 🥰🥰

Emily Carmen

I greatly appreciated rewatching this with yall Thank you so much🤗❤️🤗🎃🤗❤️🤗

Mads

Exactly, she’s done villainous things since season 2, yes very small at first, but this just didn’t come out of nowhere. She also did good things so she was very complex. They’ve been giving clues to her descent into madness for a while. “A Targaryen alone in the world is a terrible thing” she had absolute power and she felt very isolated from anyone alive she had ever trusted

Jayden Joshua

What they did to Daenerys ill never forgive them all because Sansa didn’t want her to be a queen and said we stairs don’t need any one and it’s like yall and sorry to say this but no one from starts to deserve that throne like I’m sorry but none do like compared to the only one in my eyes that deserve it and they give it to someone who in my eyes easy to fucking kill and can’t use stairs or anything like that and no hate to crippled people but I jsut don’t like bran as king like why cause he has no emotions how is that good for the people and the cunt can only live in past so once again how does that help like I’m sorry but how it ended and made the states oh so great when reality they not only Arya and Jon are great the rest are literally the most boring characters to exist on a show and literally be giving so much to them and for what cause they were pushed out a tower or Sansa as a kid had to deal with Joffrey and it’s like yall did that to yourself if you really think about it anyways that’s my hot take and people can call me a cunt or dick but that’s what I think and hate me all you want but it’s not changed like I really really don’t think they should have put bran in the throne like I would have given it to a random peeosn then him like he ain’t no king more an advisor if anything and Sansa acting like the whole world is there and it’s like yeah you had a shitty life but guess what yall not the only ones like fuck off and trying to make it all about you like that is why I hate Sansa and bran it’s annoying for both of them like ahhhhhhhh

Jayden Joshua

What’s on my other thought was fuck everyone in the city that got burned by Dennis and her Dragon because let’s be honest. None of them were ever gonna decide with her because they all feed her and if anyone else eventually if she was gonna be on the throne so fuck it why not let her burn these fucking dumb cunts who were in the city because let’s be honest none of them were faithful like none of them so let’s not worry about killing randoms because that’s all they are random fucking people who have no trust

Jayden Joshua

Also sorry if I get angry about this episode but god it makes me hate how they treated all of Daenerys and unsullied like fuck the city and people in it I would kill everyone to land start fresh like fuck em all there would be no trust from this city people anyways and everyone saying we won no we didn’t cause if they still beat for the old ways it means it’s all for nothing so I’m glad that the unsullied and Daenerys did all that like fuck everyone in that city like no joke and people need to realise that like why should she try to show love to these people who hate her kind and hate her family and will never be on her side also look at it like how Sansa could get behind all because she wanted the north and it’s like girl your not a queen you don’t just get the north what about talking to her and trying to get it but once Daenerys didn’t say shit Sansa really was like oh she a bitch and we can’t trust and it’s like why should she give you things when you are a bitch to her but also she doesn’t know you that well and yall not giving her reasons to help yall

Lisa Irv

Great reactions! I'm with you, I enjoy every season as well and it was a lot of fun to go back and rewatch the early seasons even knowing how everything eventually turns out. If nobody has mentioned it I rec that you check out Coldplay's Game of Thrones the Musical on YouTube - they got some of the actors involved and it's a hoot to see them together again.

Eva Casey

I have loved this experience of watching it with you! I still hate this season, but I think I understand now how people have different opinions about it than I do. To ME it’s hard to watch because I just see the writers pulling strings and moving things into place for what ultimately ended up happening. Whereas in earlier seasons it felt like, even if I didn’t love what happened plot wise in the sense that I didn’t want someone to die, it was an extension of the character work in the show. It’s not just that I didn’t want Dany to take this character turn, or even that it seemed to me that the people who Dany relied on gave bad advice and then blamed her for it in the end, it’s that it feels like the writers are telegraphing to the audience how we SHOULD feel about it rather than letting it be complicated and character driven. And when it seems like they think we should be feeling like obviously Dany was going to go down this route and Jon is the better ruler and always has been, since I don’t feel that way it’s hard to get on board. That said, I can see how the ending can be and is viewed in an entirely different light from how I see it. I have really enjoyed having a rethink on this last season because genuinely I still think about this ending and how much it pissed me off all the time 😂 If we can take a step back and try to see the ending through someone else’s eyes it is a very interesting study in how we all experience art differently!

Eva Casey

I’m sorry people got so awful about your opinion on the show! I loved having these debates with my friends at the time and I’m sure I was passionately angry about my views, but it’s a shame that people can’t open themselves up to the idea that not everyone shares your opinion and that’s okay.

Eva Casey

One more thing 😂 the ending could have been exactly the same, but if they actually gave us what felt like Dany’s POV on what was happening rather than having Tyrion tell us and everyone else I don’t think I would have been nearly as upset. As it is now it just feels like Tyrion is the mouthpiece for the writers and we’re just supposed to accept his POV as fact. Maybe that’s not how it was intended, but that’s how it reads to me.

Eva Casey

The ending with them around the table talking about brothels makes me so mad I can’t 😫 tell me again how the wheel was broken? Honestly though sadly it DOES make sense because as Dany said “the world we need won’t be built by men loyal to the world we have.” I just wish it didn’t feel like a silly haha ending like that’s what we really wanted from this show?

candle

Literally amen. Not everything about S8 was perfect but I'll never stop saying people who have an issue with Jon and Dany's endings were blind to a lot of planted seeds.

Jenny Mulinaro

Same! I was never mad at Dany, I was mad at the show runners for doing that to her

creeper doodle

Its so refreshing to see another person that gets so mad still about the bullshit the show pulled. I get so mad still.

Jayden Joshua

No till this day like it’s just was such a perfect show and could have had the best finale and it’s like they just was like fuck it we are done with this shit

jesskiddin

can I just say I watched this show as it aired and after it ended I've NEVER gone back to rewatch but I have watched a ton of reactions and I've neverrrrr heard any content creators sum up the ending as well as you guys. The "y'all really don't have to do that" was actually perfect and I will be describing the finale as such from now on. Thank you and I can't wait to see you guys watch HOTD! (don't you love the acronym? :D)

Karen Cribb

I liked Dany. But I saw that in her nature from the first time she threatened to burn a city to the ground. I’ll burn you first. She said that in season 2.

Megan Koler

I think that making a threat and doing it are very different things. She spent the entire show punishing tyrants and slavers and trying very hard to spare the innocents. This was lazy writing to turn her suddenly into a genocidal tyrant.

Megan Koler

It felt rooted in a lot of sexism, honestly.

creeper doodle

It legit makes me so mad still. Ill never get over how the ruined my favorite IP. Ive been a fan of the books since 2004, and though they had changed quite a bit during the show, I was still invested. It crushed me how they disrespected all of us, the cast, the story, everything.

Gloria Hernon

Peter Dinklage's performance finding his siblings always kills me & I sob....Having lost an older brother, it's heartwrenching. Question: who do you guys think would have won a fight? Jon or Greyworm? I'm honestly, not sure. Dany walking & Drogon taking off, what a shot! Like the beautiful blue shot of Jon & Dany on their dragons above the clouds in episode 3. That was stunning. And I'll say it again, D&D ruined Dany. Drogon getting up from the snow was like, okay, you smell like a Targaryen, you can pass. You probably figured out, dragons are wicked smart. And apparently, they can cry out for their mama. God! Drogon made me cry! Drogon felt her when she died.....it's like Drogon knew, it was because of that throne, that took her away from him. You guys will learn more about dragons in House of the Dragon. Also, people, fans, me, those that have read the books think Drogon took her to Valyria, where it all began.

Angel Valadez

How can y’all not be mad at the writers for how they did Dany?😩 Just so out of character and disrespectful to her wtf.

Rachel

the turn Dany takes was a hard pill to swallow. i honestly haven't gone back to this show since the ending, not until i watched your reaction and i binged it FAST. i know it's still a drastic turn, but she's been through so much, and she's got the madness in her, from the mad king. she's also got the backing of so many armies and people, she's got the support and love, and she has the fear. she has the death count under her belt, so watching it now, i believe it, but it's still so fast.

Rachel

i still will never get over that at the end of all of this........the finale was them inventing democracy.

Rachel

i really think the Arya spin-off should've happened, but I would also just take a Stark spin-off, focusing on all three of them.

Rachel

I totally agree with you at your last comments. I think that the waiting is what made a lot of people angry about the way the show ended. I think binging the show all in one actually makes it BETTER. I will be totally honest, Bran being "king" at the end really bothered me personally, because it was like he was all "okay sure", then was like "i've got to go" then went off to have his visions. And that's FINE, but the wait, I feel, is what made it frustrating for me, but watching YOU watch it made me appreciate it more.

Vladimir Woodchester

Guys.. people named their daughters Danny and Daenerys before season 8 lmao Like, that’s a mess already but then- like, where do we go from here lol Also, can we all giggle how everyone was Daenerys for Halloween around s6 Serving humble white gown big blonde wig and shoulder dragon- just to land at this version of her 🫩

Amanda Caroline

I cannot WAIT for yall to start House of the Dragon - Games of Thones will always be a favorite show of mine & hold a special place in my heart. I think the main upset with season 8 (at least for me) was the drastic change in Dany's arc, while it ultimately makes sense for it to have ended that way, SOOOO many people LOVED her & wanted to see a happier ending for her character rather than turning her into a sort of villan right in the last few epsidoes. Aside from that, yes, I loved the production value of season 8 and ultimately was ok with how things ended. I was VERY happy for the Starks and all the surviving characters left, it was just the Dany stuff that made me sad. Anywho, I am beyond happy that you guys reacted to this show, I am sad that it's over 🥺🥲but I am really excited to see what yall think of HOD. I do hope yall wont wait too too long because there are a lot of connections made between GOT and HOD and things from GOT are brought up/mentioned, so you dont want to forget too much!

candle

Please explain how a woman who’s been threatening to burn down cities since Season 2 actually burning down a city is “out of character.” Her family legacy is literally generational madness, and she’s been through relentless trauma — losing loved ones, dragons, allies — while watching her life’s purpose taken from her. The shift was never sudden. She’s always walked the line between empathy and violence, justice and vengeance. People just ignored the signs because they liked her.

candle

She wanted to burn down the slaver’s cities including innocents until Tyrion talked her out of it. She’s always walked between benevolence and tyranny. I don’t see why all the power and trauma getting to her head doesn’t make sense to some of you simply because she used to free slaves (and conveniently gained followers from it.) They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Angel Valadez

It very much was sudden.. they made her whole storyline her being a protagonist freeing people from tyrants and protecting the innocents to the best she could and i’m supposed to believe now shes some evil person and it’s in character for her to burn down innocents and children after they surrendered?? they made her an antagonist in one season. this whole last season they made all the characters shit on her for what?

candle

It‘s not the show’s fault if you only focus on her good moments and ignore her morally grey side. Like I said, the warning signs were there from the start. She crucified the masters in Meereen even while admitting she didn’t know who was guilty. She threatened to burn down Qarth when she didn’t get her way. She executed the Tarlys — strangers with no oath to her — under “kneel or die.” That’s not how Ned, Robb, or Jon operated; they executed men bound by oaths who betrayed them, not people they just met who refused foreign rule. Dany built her entire image on being “different” from her father, a breaker of the wheel. But “kneel or die” is the wheel. She left behind cities in chaos to chase the Iron Throne, not because Westeros was suffering under (especially not under Robert) but because she felt entitled like any other monarch aka the wheel. That’s not liberation, that’s monarchy entitlement — the exact thing she claimed to oppose. Her mercy was always conditional, her dissent always treated as betrayal. Then in S8 comes her isolation, her mounting losses, and Westeros not loving her the way Essos had, and fear became the only choice she saw. That’s not “out of nowhere,” it’s tragic inevitability. And personally, I think the Mad Queen arc is far more beautifully fitting for GOT than a neat fairytale ending. GRRM has is a student of history and a critic of personality cults and monarchist destiny. The books will not end with her as a benevolent queen either. He himself has said the characters endings will be similar to the show, just different routes.

alienqueen

THE QUEEN IN THE NORTH 🗣️🗣️🗣️

alienqueen

personally my only issue with the ending of danys storyline is the pacing. i think power, and the desire for power, easily corrupts people. and shes someone who has been fighting for the power of the throne most of her life. it makes sense to me that the closer she gets to it, the more shed be willing to do to win. if it had had at least one more season to show how she got to where she did, it would have made a lot more sense, but they really rushed the last season and it all felt so sudden that it didnt work as well as it would have if they had taken more time 🤷‍♀️

ariel mermaid

I’m excited for house of the dragon and yeah it was just a weird rushed season so Danni personality flip so fast mad no sense or brain as king but in all I love the show

Jess K

I cannot FUCKING wait until you guys start House of the Dragon! Y’all are gonna be in love with all the Targaryen’s and dragons!

Whitney Miller

When you re-watch you will see the signs of Dany's madness all along. It didn't just come on spontaneously.

Jakerton232

here is why o was upset with the ending. all this build up for someone to kill cersei and the castle just crumbles on her... no justice for anyone she harmed..second how can bran be king when he LITERALLY stated "i cant be lord of anything." then suddenly accepts hes THE king of the country. it just doesnt make any sense.

Mimi Lee

What's crazy is from what my boyfriend told me in the book lady Catlin actually comes back and takes revenge on the people that killed her and her son... Like zombie style I have to read the book to find out for sure but it's definitely worth checking into

Antony Oscar Art

I actually don't hate the way the show ended for the remaining Starks. Like, I hate how Dany's character ended up in these last few episodes, but other than that the ending was okay. I especially like that Jon went back north with Ghost and Tormund and the wildings, it just seemed somehow fitting. And ofc adventurer sea captain Arya and Queen Sansa!

Traci McMurray

The Dani we fell in love with was quiet, unsure, lacked resources, lacked a voice. She was something to someone else. Her identity was tied (usually) to a man. We watched her gain confidence, strength, a sense of herself. She was triumphant and freed the shackled in the process. Plus, she had three dragons. But imo (I totally see the case against Dani's ending.), you can slowly watch her lose that sense of her righteous and just self in moments of power. She sometimes ignores the guidance of her counsel and in the beginning, we loved she was head-strong. Defiant. Mother of Dragons, indeed. All the while, we hear stories of other people who rise to powerful positions and lose a sense of themselves. Not many people there to tell you "no" when you're no longer obliged to obey. Even more of a change when they, though, must obey you. And we keep hearing during the entire show how Targaryans can be quite mad and insane and cruel and mean. We saw it in Dani's own brother. The Lannisters were in positions of power and they were quite ruthless to kill anyone or do anything to keep that position. It's almost as if you sit on that Iron Throne and you run the risk of madness. Thus, fitting when Drogon melted it to the floor at the end! Dani lost her first dragon and we saw a change (rightfully) after that. She lost another dragon. She found out Jon Snow is the rightful heir to the throne. She heard the people of the North go on and on about Jon being a fierce warrior and riding a dragon in battle. Not her. She then saw her two closest and longest companions fall. One in battle, one beheaded. I could see on that final push against Cersi and the city, Dani just snapped. Plus, if she was still that righteous, just Dani we fell in love with, she would have yielded the claim of the throne to Jon (unless I am mistaken and Dani was actually the rightful heir to that claim. I have not traced with family tree/wreath.). Bitter-sweet, yes, but when she had such a struggle with the news and didn't appear to ever change course from sitting on that Iron Throne, it was clear Dani's pendulum went too far over in the other direction. Simply my thoughts and like I said, I can absolutely see why people were upset about her story arc. I validate that.

Traci McMurray

I hope you both have found your way to the "extras" section about GOT on HBOMAX. They provided some background. I believe there is an entire episode special about the finale. They do the table reading in that one of the last show and you see how the cast learned the fate of Dani and Jon. It was amazing. And if I remember correctly, at the very end of each episode, after the credits, wasn't there an "inside the episode" type of thing? I seem to remember that. I know they talk about the set designs and the different filming locations, etc. Again, all amazing, extra content I believe you both might enjoy.

Sentient Inuit

the island of naarth is extremely toxic to anyone that isn't from there so the unsullied aren't gonna have a good time.

Sentient Inuit

ok please watch Avatar the Last Airbender (cartoon)!!!!

Ashley Williams

So now I'm supposed to believe dragons understand symbolism 🤣 Love this show and you guys 🫶

Sammy

I’m in the vast minority but I always liked this ending and felt it was satisfying. I personally felt the turn for Dany coming a couple seasons before so that didn’t bother me and at the end of the day, my personal favorite characters were the Starks. This finale felt like it was emphasizing that the heart of the show was them all along which I agreed with and I thought all of their endings fit them. Jon’s was the least satisfactory out of all of them, but for me, it felt true to him and right in the end. He didn’t want to rule, he never saw himself that way and didn’t really belong in that world. He loved the north and being a leader and he could do that. Plus, it just felt like another nod to his love for Ygritte for me personally. As much as the show tried to push Dany and Jon as a couple, I never once bought their love character or chemistry wise. It felt more like something the show decided and then was telling us was there rather than anything you could actually see or feel, so him returning to the wildlings felt like a nod to his real true love in the show for me personally

The Dreammweaver

Bran as king is so weird like he already said he can’t be the lord of anything. He was so resistant to it when anyone called him lord. I think it’d be cool if Jon was king and he got advised by Bran sometimes cause it’s hard to manipulate and lie to someone who can fact check all of history. Bran would be a good kind of master of whispers. And it’d just be neat to have various starks in different positions of power all over. Sansa queen in the north, Jon on the iron throne, and Arya killing people that are a threat to Jon. kind of being what the hound was to the lannisters but better. Idk I wish it ended more like that. It was disappointing to have such an emphasis on family throughout the whole show only to split up the stark children in a way where they’ll probably never see eachother again, except for Sansa and Bran but they still probably won’t see eachother often. Still enjoyed rewatching the shitshow with you guys

Petty Pumpkins

yeahhhh we just finally finished editing season 8 for youtube and it really is such a mess on rewatch 🙈
