Join us for our first-time reaction to a movie that painted us in dread and had us laughing our nerves off as we tried to not lock eyes with Mr. Boogie... 🖤📽️

🎞️ SINISTER had us spiraling between nervous laughter, genuine terror, and the deep, existential regret of ever moving into a murder house. Because if horror movies have taught us anything… curiosity really does kill the pumpkin! 🎃🪓

Just started the video and I have a comment and a question. #1- I am shocked that Wes has never seen this before. This is going to be goooood! 😂 #2- What is "Hockoween"? Don't know if I even spelled that right. I am feeling very old and out of touch because I have no clue what you're talking about. 😩

So excited to watch you guys react to the movie and see the Lawn mowing scene ❤️

Lavender Violet

Apparently my hearing is going as well. 🤷‍♀️ Thanks for clarifying. I was like, what is this new thing that I know nothing about? 😂

Angry_Pigeon

I remember watching this once, but I don't remember anything about it, gonna be fun revisiting it with you guy's.

This movie is one of my absolute favorites! When it came out, people were still super hype about Insidious and I feel like it got overshadowed. Its so good though, and the music is so creepy. Also, I vote NO on watching Sinister 2. Its fucking terrible. Just pretend it doesn't exist like the rest of us 😭

!! Spoilers !! Just hanging out watching some movies in a murder house. World's worst jack-in-the-box. I'm just gonna assume the little dog's ok and was adopted by the neighbors. Mr Bagel. Ethan Hawke's character in this movie's an asshole. The good news is if you watch this movie enough times it stops being scary and kinda turns into a dark comedy. The sequel sucks though, and not in a fun way.

Oh no, what’s up with James Ranson, the deputy? What did I miss?

YESSS WE WONNN

Violet

This is one of the most genuinely scary movies I've ever seen! I love it because it doesn't rely on jump scares to be scary, the premise itself is genuinely terrifying!! I'm so glad you guys are doing this one I can't wait to watch it when I get to work

Violet

Omg, I'm so, SO sorry! Please take care of yourself!!

Petty Pumpkins

Chrissy, we are so sorry for your loss! We're here for you honey... always.

Chrissy

Thank you so much. It was sudden and unexpected and I’m at a loss. I’m so thankful for you both and your channel. You’re both pure light and love ❤️

Chrissy

Thank you so much

Based on its scary reputation, I've avoided this movie for a while. Y'all made it a lot easier to watch. I appreciated that the jump scares were minimal because when they did happen, it made more of an impact. True story: When I was very young, we moved into a house where the previous owners had left home movie film reels behind. After watching Sinister, I'm glad those were thrown out!

Dakota Hill

@51:00 he had written several books since his bestseller and those were flops, so that's why he's desperate for another hit.

Petra

Love the movie but the last jumpscare is so cheap😂😅

Ariana Meyer

also you guys should watch the new IT series Welcome to Derry coming october 26th☺️🫣

djburnette87

Wow che really spent the whole video spoiling. Jeeze..let wes be surprised 🙄🤦🏿‍♂️

Petty Pumpkins

yeah I figured out when I was editing it back that it was the Denver one that was a flop and not the Kentucky one lol

TxMade🫶🏽

Judging by the comments so far I may be in the minority, but I’d love a reaction to sinister 2 🥹🫶🏽 idk why everyone hates it so much cuz it is not that bad 😆 these people are trippin, don’t listen to them!! lol

MaghenReads&Watches 📖 🎬

Robin Beatch

LOL Chey trying to sleepwalk 🤣 How do you do that?? I used to sleepwalk a lot as a kid and have only done it a handful of times as an adult. It's mostly just weird and awkward... i have one terrifying experience but I'll share it in the Discord

ScientificallyStupidJess

Absolutely LOVE to hear you both talking about old-school editing techniques. Editing can make or break a movie. I've been obsessed with editing techniques and good/bad editing since I was a kid- one of those AuDHD hyperfixations (I read a book about the making of Jaws when I was about 10 and couldn't believe what a shitshow it was. As far as I'm concerned, Verna Fields, the editor, saved the movie, and I'll die on that hill. Imagine her sitting in her little sunroom for days, just combing through thousands of feet of film splicing bits here and there together BY HAND to try and get a cogent story out of it. Her house was for sale a few years ago and I was blown away that the new owners didn't seem to know or care who she was, or that the greatest film masterpiece ever made was edited there. Not to mention that the best jumpscare in the film was filmed in the pool, twenty feet away).

Whitney Miller

There is zero chance I would find that box of found footage and only watch one. I'd have to watch them all immediately.... then pack.

Carrie Davies

I’m late to this but I love that the cop is Ethan’s brother in Black Phone :)

Faith

I'm so late, but what did James Ransone do..? He was known for speaking up about sexual abuse and once saved a woman from being assaulted, and was really open about his past struggles with drug addiction before he ended his own life. I can't find a single bit of controversy tbh😭 But love the reaction as always, this is one of my favorite movies!

Tanesha

He exposed the man that sexually assaulted him as a child. But Ransone sadly took his own life. He struggled with a lot in his life. But he was a good person. Even saved a woman from being sexually assaulted.

Kenneth

Is the person who wrote this mentally stable?
