Mirror, mirror on the wall… who’s the unluckiest of them all? 👁️🪞Apparently us, because y'all voted for this cursed movie.

This is our (PATREON-EXCLUSIVE $5 PARTY PUMPKIN TIER FIRST-TIME WATCH) of Mike Flanagan's OCULUS where grief, trauma, and memory converge into ghosts that resides inside your own reflection. We came in expecting a haunted mirror and we left unsure if our own childhoods were real...🫢

Never heard of this movie before, but excited to watch this for the first time 😃

UB1980

Excellent choice y'all might want to watch twice! Such a good premise.

Sabrina

Haven’t seen this in at least like…5 yrs. Barely remember the details, so I’m excited to rewatch!

Rebecca Hopkins

Wow haven’t seen this in so long. Great reaction Pumpkins! ♥️

alienqueen

oooh i saw this in theaters when it came out but havent seen it since!!! hardly remember what happens in it so im excited for this!!!

Robin Beatch

Of all the many things I love about this film, I'm so happy that Chey noticed and commented on that killer ponytail

Lavender Violet

👏👏to Mike Flanagan- as always. He is one of my favorite film makers. It has been a minute since I've seen this, so it was basically like a first time watch. The only thing I remembered clearly was the apple/light bulb scene because who could forget that? Did you catch that the ghost/woman in the office was played by Kate Siegel?

Tanesha

I'm so excited you're doing this movie!!! Still to this day, I have wanted a sequel or a prequel. I really want to know where the mirror came from!

Emily Carmen

Chey "I do not have enough blanket for this.!" I am stealing this saying cuz I am feeling the same watching this with my cat🙀😳🙀

Jeremy Montanez

I forgot to mention if you're trying to watch more Flanagan please watch midnight Mass That's my favorite out of them all.

Chrissy

Excited to rewatch this!

Alex D

I can’t wait to Midnight Mass!!! 🫶

Jayden Joshua

I watched this years ago only once and that’s all I needed for this movie like this movie was crazy when I remember I wonder if I I think same with this reaction anyways can’t wait for yall to be scared for this movie x

Chad Moore

How I wish Mike Flanagan would reboot my beloved Dark Shadows.

TxMade🫶🏽

When chey mentioned it’s usually the dad being crazy, but this time it’s both of them, it just made me think of another movie Mom and Dad 😂 yall should watch it lol

Corpius

Have you guys seen mike flanagan's midnight mass, i think that is some of his best work.

Libs

Omg I'm so happy y'all posted this! Karen Gillan is one of my longtime parasocial girlfriends, but I can only stomach visceral family trauma if it's camp, so I couldn't watch this before. So happy y'all are keeping us present & reminding me it's just a movie. And I'm sooo happy y'all love Karen!! Our Scottish goofball and a comedy queen.

Michael C

Loved this reaction! Had no idea that Amy Pond was in the Flanagan universe. I cannot wait for the day you guys react to Midnight Mass, my favourite of Mike's work [251112]

Alex gallo

I'm so ready for the Carrie series, in Mike Flannigan I trust. Would you guy's ever consider the show DARE ME? Not to add onto your plate but if you ever run out of ideas or need an Alison Thorton fix beforehand.

SoraCanada

I've literally watched this movie before and somehow watching it with you I just realized Nathan from One Tree Hill is in this movie 😂

Sky

Would love for ya’ll to react to The Haunting of Hill House. 🧡

Petty Pumpkins

we watched Hill House and Bly Manor when they first came out (pre-channel) so we for sure will do a rewatch at some point for those but we have some other MF projects that we haven't seen yet that will be priority over those two!

Sky

Completely understandable! I was surprised that Oculus was a MF film! It’s not my favorite of his, but it’s not a bad movie. The pacing just seems terribly slow, but I like the jump into the action movies. 😂

Sky

Plus lorda mercy, Oliver Jackson-Cohen is nice to look at. 😅

AB_19

Love the movie and Karen Gillan’s performance specifically. I remember being traumatized when this first came out. Also, stream Mature by Hilary Duff 💯🤣

Agent Andrew

“You don’t have any white noise on? Or a fan? Nothing?! You just sleep in silence?” Relatable AF, silence isn't peaceful! Edit: Ok I've finished it. For a moment I was thinking: "Oh wow! They're gonna break the cycle.. There's hope, there's a chance..." and Flenagan says lmao no... let me carve your hope out with a broken mirror shard.

Justin Cole

Cool thing about the mirror is that it can be seen hidden in the background of almost all his movies/shows.

Petty Pumpkins

we definitely remember seeing it in Gerald's Game!! would be fun to rewatch his other projects to try and spot it!

Selina

Katee Sackhoff!! Also, in my youth, I had a crush on the actor who plays the dad (he was in Empire Records) and had a true jump scare when I saw that he was in this movie.

Jungle Julia

THIS was my first introduction to Mike Flanagan, and I IMMEDIATELY knew he was going to be a star. I hated that it didn't receive the hype it deserved upon release, but I love that people are discovering it now.
