If i was rhaenyra I would lie to alicent too. Alicent was a snake who slept with her dad. She couldnt be trusted, she was already trying to slut shame Rhaenyra. Also, Daemon and Rhaenyra didnt sleep together bc daemon felt too guilty to get it up, they say it in the inside the episode by the writers. She lost her v card to Criston Cole. This all being made a big deal bc she is a woman, if she were a man no one would care.

Damon lied because if they’d had sex (they didn’t, just kissed) Rhaenyra’s honor would’ve been ruined to the extent that no one would’ve married her. And if Daemon married her, he’d become king.

If I remember correctly Rhaenyra ended up ruining Criston Cole’s whole life after they slept together. I think he thought the act was much more than she did. She just wanted to sleep together but I think because of who he was as her guard and I believe whatever group he was a part of, sleeping together made him give up all his vows. This then leads to him really having a terrible time until he switches sides to Alicent out of bitterness. I am not blaming her for sleeping with Christon at all. He should have stopped it if he wasn’t sure of what it would mean to both of them.

A lot of people are so harsh on her. Blame her Dad lol. She's been under pressure since she was born. Dealing with so much stress and anxiety probably "her ripping skin around her nails all the time". I really feel for her. Trying to do her best. I like BOTH the female leads and the characters lol. Why we gotta choose? I understand choosing Houses. But don't force me to choose between my girls lol

Haha I do like Rhaneyra, I just didn’t love her in this episode specifically. Also, yes Viserys seems to skate around a lot of the blame throwing, so I agree he needed to take some more heat.

But I do agree with you. I'm an Alicent fan as well. Rhaneyra when she started laughing at that young lord getting bullied in the court when applying to join his house with hers (I liked her a lot less after that). Otto a bit of a c*nt lol, but Alicent is awesome
