🔥 Fire and blood have finally come to the Pumpkin Patch. We took our first-ever flight into the world of House of the Dragon, and it was petty, brutal, and beautifully devastating in all the right ways 🩸

In “The Green Council” The King's passing throws the realm into chaos as alliances fracture and the race for the throne becomes utterly cutthroat. The storm has arrived Pumpkins, and everyone’s reaching for the crown ⚔️👑

Fk Yeah !!! Thank you so much

King Viserys thought he was talking to Rhaenyra before he died, so he was basically continuing the conversation they’d had earlier about the Song of Ice and Fire. When he mentioned “Aegon,” he meant Aegon the Conqueror’s prophecy and was referring to Rhaenyra’s descendant being the one to unite the realm — not Alicent’s son Aegon.

Alicent is wrong, he did not want their son Aegon to be king. He always, always, wanted it to be Rhaenyra. I explained in the previous video but just in case yall didn’t see it, I’ll explain here as well: At the end there when Viserys was talking to Alicent about “Aegon,” in his delirium he THOUGHT he was talking to Rhaenyra & he was talking about the story he told her about Aegon the Conqueror & the song of ice & fire (remember that story he told her back at the end of the very first episode after naming her his heir?). Only the king & their heirs know about this story - it had been passed down from king to heir for many generations, since Aegon the Conqueror (the first Targaryen king & the one who actually had the dream of ice & fire). He thought he was telling Rhaenyra that he believes SHE is the prince/princess who was promised. Alicent on the other hand, who knows nothing about this story of the song of ice and fire, thought Viserys knew he was talking to her, so it came across like he was saying that their son Aegon was the one to rule. So Alicent leaves believing that just before he died he had changed his mind about wanting Rhaenyra to rule and instead wants their son Aegon to rule. A huge misunderstanding lol Viserys *always* wanted it to be Rhaenyra. Just wanted to clarify that because it didn’t seem like yall caught that lol

The White Worm is a boss! Good for her! Princess Rhaenys is a favorite of mine, from this show & the book. That move she pulled....awesome! Her dragon, Meleys is my favorite, then Seasmoke. The hand is a piece of shit....disgusting man. Another disgusting piece of shit, Lord Larys has a foot fetish. He trades information to the queen for exposing her feet. They've been doing it for years.

Thanks for the info! Since we’re watching the show completely fresh, we try to stay inside the show’s POV and experience everything exactly as it’s presented. Ryan Condal actually said Viserys’ final scene was intentionally murky and meant to mirror Alicent’s confusion, so we’re totally okay being confused right along with her, that’s the show’s intention. We’re happy to let the story reveal things in its own time, but since we sometimes binge multiple episodes, we don’t always get that context until the show gives it… or until we read the comments. Trust, we’ve always got a lot going on in our heads. we don’t say every single thought out loud, but we absolutely knew Alicent was confused, just like we were.

You mean the move she pulled that killed about 200 innocent people? That move? Sorry ;-) I always find it amusing that no one ever spares a thought for all the innocent people in that scene. I haven't seen a reactor mention them either. They all just give Princess Rhaenys a pass immediately and without question. I guess it's the human condition, love and care about what you know and what's in your immediate purview, and ignore the rest. We all do it :-D The move was pretty damn awesome like you said though. I'm loving these reacts. Can't wait for season 2

Amanda Caroline

No problem! Yes, the whole thing is meant to be based on misunderstanding, Alicent’s misunderstanding lol - I just wanted to share that information just in case because it’s clearly a very confusing moment between Alicent & Viserys with him being delirious & her completely misunderstanding his mumblings lol & it never gets mentioned again or clarified later so I just thought I’d share that with yall just in case you didn’t catch it! 🫶🏼 cannot wait for season 2 reactions!

"You desire not to be free but to make a window in the wall of your prison" it gives me chills every time. Alicent and Rhaenys are definitely two of my favorites characters in this show and the delivery both those actresses were giving… it’s just beyond. Binging this right know hahah love you guys 🫵❤️

Hey! I just started the reaction (I know I probably should wait til the end to comment but I wanted to pass some info down the patch). So idk if you knew this because your commentary in the very beginning of this vid confused me a bit—when Viserys said “Aegon the prince that was promised, a song of ice and fire”, (Alicent never knew of that story first off) and if you recall as well we had seen in the last episode (literally the night prior) Rhaenyra visited her father’s bedside. Rhaenyra was the one who was trying to speak with her father about Aegon’s dream, if he had believed it to be true, and if she was the right choice as his heir to unite the realm. But when Rhaenyra left and Alicent stayed by his side, Viserys in his hazy final moments he thought he was speaking to his daughter on that night when he passed. He did not think he was speaking to Alicent at all but he did believe he was speaking to his daughter. Alicent had no idea what Viserys was talking about, he was under extreme duress, on strong drugs, and was knocking on heavens door. She should not have taken those sentences Viserys had been saying so literally—not only for the few reasons I mentioned but also because Viserys made it very clear what his wishes were and made sure to do it with a clear mind in front of the entire court/his family. Alicent truly was a fool to take those few words as some kind of definitive statement that their son should succeed him. In fact if she maybe found a way to contact Rhaenyra sooner, tell her that her father had passed, and then told Rhaenyra exactly what those last words to her were then Rhaenyra could have easily cleared up this misunderstanding. Sorry y’all I know my comments are long winded and I LOVE my 2 favorite pumpkins! I just had to get this info out there if not for y’all as well as to anyone else who passes through and maybe needed to have this explained a bit better. Because I am always and forever Team Black/Rhaenyra! And I know the best pumpkins in the patch will see it too.🖤🐉🎃
