🐾✨Pumpkins, it's our first time watching BEST IN SHOW and what a bittersweet joy it was! 🏆

A mockumentary covering a dog show with whacky handlers? Sign us UP! We practically barked up the entire casts tree and of course, marveled at the late, great, Catherine O’Hara’s brilliance as Cookie Fleck. This reaction serves as a tribute to her legacy. It's our way of honoring THE comedy queen, the mother to us all, one tough cookie who will forever be missed! 🐶💙🍪

I actually never heard of this movie, so I'm intrigued to see what's it is about ☺️

Amanda Hill

This movie is one of my favorites of all time.

Mary E Crum

Love this movie. RIP Catherine O'Hara.

You have to watch "A Mighty Wind" on the folk music scene (some fun music in that one). Also Catherine O'Hara is great in "For Your Consideration."

StevieWayne16

Her part in After Hours is small but one of my favorites. Also that’s a really bonkers movie with a loaded cast.

Chrissy

I love movies filmed like this, I know you’ve seen it but sometime in the future if you could do a commentary reaction to Drop Dead Gorgeous, that would be amazing

Violet

Drop Dead Gorgeous would be incredible!!

Violet

"We could talk or not talk for hours.....and still find things to not talk about. " This movie is incredible!

Daniel Turbyfill

I really love A Mighty Wind, another Christopher Guest mockumentary. Again she is paired with Eugene Levy and they are gold together.

Selina

A Mighty Wind and Waiting for Guffman for sure to round out the Christopher Guest musical trilogy. I love this movie so so much. Edited to add: Michael McKean and John Michael Higgins might be my favorite couple of all time.

Daniel Turbyfill

A bit of trivia: Christopher Guest is married to Jamie Lee Curtis!

Libs

Idk why but the scene where Christopher Guest is naming nuts makes me laugh soooo hard. “I used to drive my mom crazy. She’d say ‘You stop naming nuts!!’” 😂 RIP Catherine ♥️.

Lavender Violet

This is such a fantastic movie with high rewatchability (yeah, I know- not a real word, but 🤷‍♀️). It makes me laugh every time. Favorite Catherine O'Hara performance is 100% Moira Rose. Iconic- perfect- incredible. RIP to an absolute queen. 😢

Sabrina

One of my favorite, often unsung, Catherine O’Hara movies is Penelope with Christina Ricci and James McAvoy. She plays another neurotic but well-intentioned mom, and she and Richard E Grant are very funny as a couple. The movie is also just super cute and I’ve always loved it. Featuring supporting performances by Peter Dinklage and Reese Witherspoon, too ❤️

StevieWayne16

Yess it’s the way he goes “every kinda nut that there was”. So funny and it’s subtle.

I kinda think I watched this 20 or so years ago, but forgot much of it.. this was so much fun, and yes that Gay couple should’ve gotten their own spinoff. They were the best part of this and so hilarious.. 8 kimonos for a 2 day stay is so extra. 🤣

Stephanie Ella

Oh yes, Penelope was so good.. I forgot she was in that.

Stephanie Ella

Yes, I feel like I might need to watch "A Mighty Wind" now.. IDK why when I was younger I didn’t think these films were funny. I probably just didn’t understand the concept of a mockumentary..

Stephanie Ella

Yeah I think I need to watch this now.

Stephanie Ella

So funny 🤣 I cackled the most at the Gay couple fixing up their hotel room for a 2 day stay and requiring 8 kimonos. They were hilarious.

Jennifer Z

this movie is so chaotic good lol thank you pumpkins!! 🎃 💗

Patricia Grant

I loved this movie. I've always wanted to watch this movie, but somehow never did until now. I'm glad I got to see it with the pumpkins. 🤭🙂I'm so gutted about Catherine O'Hara. My favorite movie of her would have to be 'Home Alone' RIP.

A Kirk

It’s funnier the older I get.

A Kirk

Yes!!!

Along with the others in this series as people have suggested, The Studio would be a great show to react to. Really entertaining and not many have reacted to it, also was one of Catherine's last performances.

For Your Consideration is so underrated. I think it doesn’t get as much attention as the other 3 films because it abandons the mockumentary format. It’s still an amazing piece of improvisational work from some of the best in the business and Catherine steals the show.

True story about DJ Kats mommy I had mentioned how her mom Azrael was abandoned and left by her owners. So a super long story short the owners did cat shows and Azrael was supposed to be a show cat and apparently when she got out and had become pregnant with a strays kittens she was abandoned. She was an absolutely gorgeous and such a sweet cat. I still remember when she saw me take out a collar for her she sat proudly waiting for me to put it on her like she was being crowned queen of the palace. She never once took that collar off and was so happy to just belong and to have a normal happy cat life with her kitten DJ Kat. And she also helped Pork Pie because he was the blind munchkin kitten I rescued when he was brought into the vet hospital I had worked at in West Hollywood..........and yes I was working at the same vet hospital where the Drew Barrymore story happened hahahaha 😆 So Azrael started her life as a show cat and was supposed to be bred to raise the next generation of show cats and those idiot owners she had abandoned her when she had gotten out and pregnant. It was so sad and I am so grateful my friend found her. She was so sad waiting under the house and the assholes left her there and had moved. She was such a loving and dedicated mom to DJ and to Pork Pie even though Pork Pie was not her biological baby she showed him how to groom himself and to use the litter box and helped him learn to find his food bowl and water. She was such an adorable and genuinely grateful kitty that was so just so happy to have a family. Me and her and the two kittens she was so stoked to belong and be loved for who she was. It always broke my heart how she was left like that but I am so glad I was able to give her the life she clearly always wanted. And all of her other six kittens got great and happy homes. And DJ Kat is the senior kitty that adores your Patreon. She is enjoying Best In Show with me while I rest today and binge your movies. :-)
