Don't worry, don't stress. Take your time to relax and to make what you watch enjoyable. Personally, I don't even love horror, so I'm here from the YouTube edits, so I get it! I fall asleep to GoT supercuts often. I love the rxns to non-horror movies, and even the thrillers! Plenty for me to comfort watch. Know that even though you are stressed and overworked and exhausted, this petty bitch is here for the long haul, and on my hardest days, your content makes me feel like I am not alone. I know I'm kind of spitting into the wind when I say that because I recognize my fellow Type A's in this video. 🤪 It's easy for me to say don't beat yourselves up, all the while knowing that I would do the same thing. For real though- your Patreon is a gift. You deliver so much content compared to other creators. I kind of went on a Patreon kick for a while, but I've cut way back and now I only support you and one other creator. I upped my membership for you guys to the highest tier because it's worth it, and stopped subscribing to some of the other creators I had supported in the past. And yes, you two and this amazing community you have created are a safe space for so many of us. You have to let us be your safe space as well. If that means cutting back for a while to get your bearings then so be it. You deserve everything you need to help make it through the utter insanity that is living in America in the year 2026. Hey, as someone who’s worked in tech for a while, I’d suggest a simple 3-stage setup for storing your video content: start with an external hard drive (what you’re already using), then gradually build out a NAS server, and use cloud storage as a temporary backup. That way you’re not constantly buying random external drives or trying to keep track of where everything lives as your library continues to grow. You’d start with a fast external SSD like the Samsung T9 Portable SSD (or one of the many external hard drives you already have no need in buying more, that’s just a good drive I know of) for all your active filming and editing. Then you move your long-term storage into a NAS system through Synology using NAS-grade drives like Seagate IronWolf Pro (essentially building your own private storage server). That becomes your main archive for everything, raw footage, edits, exports, all of it. On top of that, you’d use cloud backup (like Backblaze which is pretty cheap) as a rolling safety net for the most important stuff (usually the next 3–6 months of unreleased content). That way if anything ever goes wrong locally, you’re still covered and your upload schedule doesn’t get wiped out. This is just a suggestion and not meant to overwhelm you. I can’t imagine the frustration and how everything seems to happen at once. I love your content but would totally understand if you needed a small sabbatical to get things in order to move forward in an stress-free way. Sending you the best vibes ❤️❤️❤️

Buying a hard drive for your Nas server would replace you buying those external hard drives all the time. A Nas server hard drive can store around 8TB-24TB depending on which one you buy. They are slightly more expensive than external hard drives, but have a lot more storage. You can use all your external hard drives in rotation forever (clearing them when full) only after you make sure the content was successfully loaded to your Nas server. So everything will exist in 2-3 places at all times unless it’s really old content.

Commenting on this late, but: I always think of Patreon as more of supporting the creators I like, and the extra content we get is something on top of that. Sometimes stuff happens (like hardware issues, neighbors being loud, etc.) and the world is a dumpster fire. Nobody blames you for that! We get a lot of great stuff from you guys, so don't worry. 💜 Also, as a side note, I'm a little bit too aware of the issue with external hard drives being in demand and going up in price because of the AI shite. I do digital art and the files (not to mention process videos!) can get huge. Hurts my wallet just to think about how the prices have gone up in the past year. 😭
