Morgan Sanders

Happy to sit down and watch this after loving the 1st Lord of the rings 😊❤️❤️

Petty Pumpkins

So happy it's finally yours! And thanks for always clocking in early!!!! 🤗

Asami Ayla

Thank you so much! This truly makes my day brighter. ✨❤️

Jayden Joshua

Like for me these movies are top tier movies from the actors to the score like for me these movies are just so good and I can’t wait for yall react to return of the king

Skylarcyn

Are you going to watch The Hobbit films too?

Chad Moore

I was lucky enough to see all three movies when they first came out in theaters. The extended editions are more familiar, and I cannot recall for the life of me what the theatrical cuts were like. I loved the expressions of realization when y'all clocked Karl Urban. Look up his appearances in Xena: Warrior Princess and you will be gagged! When Aragorn kicked the Orc helmet, Viggo Mortensen broke his toe, and his cry of anguish was very real. The scene in which Frodo, Sam and Gollum reach the Black Gate always reminds me of The Wizard of Oz when the Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion prepare to infiltrate the Witch's castle.

Michelle Omni

Not so fun fact. The shot of Aragorn kicking the helmet by the burn pile, the actor actually broke his toe in that scene because he kicked so hard, so the scream is 100% real. 😳

Pam Nail

I enjoyed the comparison of tracker!Aragorn to Will Graham way too much!

Violet

A. OMG IT'S FINALLY HERE!! I woke up around 3 a.m. to drink some water and I saw this dropped and I was IMMEDIATELY WIDE AWAKE!! 2. I KNEW y'all would clock how SCARY this movie is!! D. This GENUINELY makes my entire week better!! I know how much y'all have been going through and the fact that you still can be SO funny, witty, and engaging, is amazing and SO APPRECIATED!

ScrabblinGirl

I love LOTR but that movie is SO LONG!

ScrabblinGirl

You're giddy? You should have seen it in theatres after having to WAIT! It was torture!!!

ScrabblinGirl

Gandalf is such a badass! I love these movies so much! Even the painful parts

Violet

Smeagol said "Raw is LAW!" 🤣

Corpius

Fun facts, Gollum actually is feeling pain from the rope because its elvish, he also can't eat normal food it turns to ash in his mouth, and their elven cloaks they were gifted help disguise them from enemies, which is why they looked like a rock to those two soldiers.

Petty Pumpkins

yes! we are planning on more than likely watching them but probably not right away!

Jenny_M

Yay! This was great! Also, as far as BTS stuff goes, these movies have some of the best making-of documentaries ever, because they came out during the golden age of DVD extras. Seriously, there were 2-3 discs with every movie just of extras. If y'all wanted to do a reaction just watching some of those, I know I'd be here for it! I think most of the best ones are on YouTube, and I'm sure those of us who were obsessed back in the day would be happy to curate a playlist!

Aaron J

I was waiting for you to recognize Billy Butcher LOL

Joshua Scott

Chey's reaction to seeing Karl Urban, Miranda Otto, and Brad Dourif all together was priceless. You can see Chey & Wes are trying to process that all three of those actors are in this scene together. Casting in this franchise is perfection.

Aaron J

The guy from Severance also played Butcher's dad in The Boys

Stephanie Reynolds

I can not wait for Return of the King! It is the best in the trilogy, in my opinion.

Melodie Ladner

One of the songs reminds me so much of TWILIGHT and it's like, did TWILIGHT think it was making LORD OF THE RINGS for weird-beard baseball vampires?

Dakota Hill

Most of the Merry and Pippin goofy scenes are not in the theatrical version. I can live without those tbh. I can't however live without the added Boromir scene though.

Matti Baldoni-Jordan

So the Dead Marshes were actually inspired by Tolkien's own experience in WWI. Abandoned trenches would flood with bodies still in them, leaving battlefields that looked a lot like that.

Nick

Not sure if anyones mentioned this yet, Billy Boyd who plays Pippin is the voice of Glen/Glenda 🤯

Robin Beatch

The Two Towers has always been my least fav of the trilogy (the book is so dry y'all) but every time I watch it I love it more than I remembered lol. It's dark for sure but there's so much to tell before Return of the King! I can't express how excited I am to see your lives change with the end of this incredible trilogy <3

Robin Beatch

Sam's speech at the end always gets me as it's so powerful and truly timeless, but DAMN this really did hit differently this time :(

Antony Oscar Art

Really loving watching these with you, can't wait for the third one! 💜

Antony Oscar Art

OMG, I was thinking the same, I would love to watch the reaction to those!

AB_19

This trilogy truly is the epitome of epic. You guys nailed it there. I highly suggest watching the hours of behind the scenes footage available, they go into deep detail on the battles and just general filming. These were filmed at the same time and went through many stages, rewrites, etc. It’s funny, if you go back and watch when Gandalf and Eomer (Karl Urban) show up at the end to Helms Deep, you can actually still see footage of Arwen (Liv Tyler) fighting in the background. There was a whole subplot that was filmed and changed before release, but Arwen was originally meant to meet Aragorn at Helms Deep. Lots of very cool tidbits like that you can see them talk about in the behind the scenes footage. Also, YES, they used miniatures all throughout the three movies! Very good catch!

Natalie

Viggo Mortensen got so attached to his horse during filming he purchased it when filming ended 🥹

Selina

Fellowship will always be my favorite out of this trilogy, but Two Towers was such a huge experience. My friends and I saw this in the theaters probably like 5 times.

Rosie G

Best movie of the three IMO! “I’m getting gay vibes from… everyone here, really.” 😆 spot on.

Saku R_94

Happy Pride Month, Chey and Wes! 🤗🏳️‍🌈 The LOTR is one of my all-time favorite movie trilogies and The Two Towers is my personal favorite. There's something special about Brad Dourif as Grima and him interacting with Saruman played by the late Sir. Christopher Lee (RIP icon). And the way Merry and Pippin interacted with the Ents. Btw, wanted to suggest a Jurassic Park/World reactions, Spice World: The Movie (not sure if you guys have ever heard of The Spice Girls haha. Not everyone of our community is into them). Next month it's 30 years since Wannabe. I'm so bitter that the girls just can't get their shit together and go on a tour.. 💅 Also, have you guys postponed the YouTube edit of Halloween: Resurrection? I know you have a lot of content coming our way but those are something I've always wanted to see you react to for a very long time. Love you ❤️

Sky

One of my favorite fun facts is that Viggo adopted Brego after the movie! He bonded with the horse and spent much of his time between takes to care for him. He also bought the horse that Arwen’s stunt double rode and gifted it to her. 🩵

Carrie Schwent

Absolutely all of this. Karl Urban as Cupid? Yummy.

Carrie Schwent

I genuinely loved all 6 of the LOTR and The Hobbit movies. Though there is one aspect in ROTK and the first Hobbit that I cannot watch and can only listen to. I wish I could watch those parts, but I just can't. I do look forward to hearing your thoughts though!

Vixi

I need the pumpkins to research Legolas and Gimli’s relationship after ROTK. It is one of the cutest things ever.

Nyantri

Karl Urban looks so good in this film imo. Also so does Orlando Bloom, I think he looks the best in this role and his role in Pirates Of the Caribbean. Also I do feel bad for Sméagol. Granted his character is quite evil it’s not his fault. Just sadly a case of him having a weak mind. But I like the internal conflict of him trying not to hurt Frodo and Sam.

Sabrina

I cosign Wes’ Entwives show idea and would like to posit “The Secret Lives of Entwives” as the title 🌳 🌲🪾

Sentient Inuit

I can't wait for you to meet Legolas' daddy
