At least when you are writing copy you have a computer not a typewriter! 🤣🤣🤣

MomzillaAngie

Oh boy! I am a woman of a certain age and this is a lot of memory for me.

MomzillaAngie

I am the woman in the typing pool that says ATTA GIRL

Kenneth

They made a 9 to 5 TV series in 1982. It lasted 5 seasons.

Stephanie Ella

I was a toddler when this came out and it is a classic that I have seen MANY times.. I am sat. 🎥 🍿 Have any of you Pumpkins watched "Grace and Frankie"?

Stephanie Ella

I’m so glad that as a Gen Xer I learned to type on a computer.. I did use a typewriter at home before we upgraded to a word processor. Shout out to those of you who ever used a typewriter or word processor.. 🎉

Dulcelupita Galvez

This is my first time watching it and I’m so happy I watch your guys reaction and I loved the move so good!

Lavender Violet

Oh my God! I loooove Grace and Frankie. I just recently did a rewatch. It's so good. Wes and Chey would love it!

Another 80's classic you could watch is "On Golden Pond." It stars Jane Fonda, Henry Fonda (her real life dad) and Katharine Hepburn (one of my all time favorite actresses). Dabney Coleman (the boss in this movie) also has a supporting role. Jane Fonda wanted to make it with her dad because they had a difficult relationship IRL and she thought making a movie about characters in similar situations would be healing. It's really, really good. Especially knowing the real life backstory. Incredibly moving.

Girl I learned to type on a manual typewriter- not even electric. Then the next year our school got computers.

Rebecca Hopkins

I’m Gen X too. Remember very distinctly when I switched from electronic typewriter to a word processor, then the internet and a home computer. It was like magic. Now it’s all outdated magic 😂we were the last generation to be immersed in using the lost art of typewriters…but we also got to actually witness the rise of the technological revolution. Very cool. Love that I’m part of our generation.

BattyT

I took a typing class in junior high and they were manual typewriters lol. And huge! Then I had an electric typewriter with a built in word processor at home. It was probably 1995ish when we had our first home computer.

Skylarcyn

I haven't sat down and watched this whole movie in ages. It is truly a great time! I just love Dolly so much!!!

Skylarcyn

Yes!!! love that movie

MomzillaAngie

Dolly is 80, Lily is 86 and Jane is 88. They are national treasures! Especially Dolly. I went down the internet rabbit hole just three days ago learning about Dollys incredible life then the Pumpkins gave us this! 💜❤️💙

Chad Moore

The fact this was Dolly Parton’s first acting role never ceases to amaze me. She’s such a natural! One of my favorite recurring gags is how Violet slings off her Kimono-style jacket whenever she stands up at her desk. It makes me giggle every time. I have a faint memory of the movie premiering on network TV and holding a tape recorder up to the speaker to capture the audio. As a result, I can recite every line of dialog. Someone might have mentioned it, but the candy striper is played by Florence Henderson’s daughter. Useless geek knowledge: Elizabeth Wilson (Roz) appeared in the very first episode of “Dark Shadows” as Mrs. Hopewell, the head of the Hammond Foundling Home where Gothic heroine Victoria Winters had been left as an infant.

William Tanner

You guys should react to the second Colin Higgins - Dolly Parton collab...The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Also, in 2005 I met Jane Fonda on one of her book tours. She was A FUCKING LEGEND (and still is!) ❤️❣️❤️

Bryn

I can’t believe I never watched this movie until now because Dolly is my hero! So fun watching it with you! I saw the best Little Whorehouse in Texas way too young as a kid when I was visiting my grandparents in Arlington and it shaped me as a person. lol!!!

nj

i’m the one who dumps coffee on herself when checking her watch.

Austin

RIP Queen Dolly. Can’t believe it :(

Hind

I watched it and rewatched it, it's so good, so funny, the cast is iconic!
