Brand-new Patron here; I signed up because I like your movie and Good Place reactions on YouTube so much, I wanted to see them at full length. It's funny that I should join for this episode, because I think in some ways it's the weakest episode of the series. BUT! It's still a very very good episode -- that just indicates how the quality level is maintained throughout this amazing series: even a (possibly) lesser episode is still of a high quality that another series would be thrilled to attain. Basically we need it to indicate the passing of time during the year of the Experiment; yet in fact they included many important elements: trying to be better today, Simone's justified indignation at having to endure bigots even in heaven, etc. And there was lots of top-tier humor, especially with the details of Brent's book. And the framework with Michael telling it all to Bad Janet, and in the end setting her free... that was (as you said) brilliant.
