This series has so many amazing episodes, but I think this one may be my favorite of all. It's both ingeniously constructed and tremendously heartfelt. I particularly love learning how, in all his afterlives, he got a piece of important wisdom from EACH of his 3 fellow travelers: from Jason (when you see something good, go after it), Tahani (be willing to fail a few times before you succeed), and Eleanor (don't feel that you're the one who has to take care of everyone all the time). Plus Michael's wise words about soulmates. And I think that Chidi's cheerful "there may be 800 answers, maybe none" is clear indication that this not the old Chidi who lived by the belief that there is one right answer to any question, if only you can find it. It's worth rewatching so you can freeze-frame the shots of the gang watching during the two seconds when Chidi relives all his lives: Jason spills his drink, Janet gradually creates the drink for Eleanor, etc. Brilliant, like the whole episode.

I think Chidi is wrong. Eleanor isn't the answer. Eleanor and Chidi together is the answer. Maybe that's what the note really means to him, but I wish it would have been stated explicitly. Such a great episode and a great reaction as always.
