Great reaction, guys. This is one of my favorite episodes, juxtaposing three different experiences of our men. Bucky was not part of the POW airmen who were massacred in Russelsheim; I think they wanted to convey what happened by fictionalizing his involvement. But those people who did murder the POWs were eventually arrested, tried, and hanged. Ironically, it was not US airmen who bombed that city; it was Canadian, done at night. I agree, Subaltern Westgate is probably involved in espionage. I especially enjoyed the interrogation of Egan by the German lieutenant. The Germans had their spies, many of which the British successfully turned into double agents. To lend them credibility, the British occasionally fed them actual information to convey to the Germans. Don Malarkey of Band of Brothers wrote that when Easy arrived in England, they rode buses with blackened windows for secrecy to their base and later was stunned to hear German propagandists on the radio, welcoming the Airborne to the war. This was an instance where the Germans were given actual information by a double agent.

The Bucky part is very interesting. The interrogation parts are really good in this show, we always wondered how they knew information straight away about the soldiers.
