My first time watching this episode, I had a bit of a hard time with the "answer" being just a way to end your existence. After multiple watches/rewatches though, I've come to appreciate it. I think if they did actually just all go through the door right away I would've hated it, but I was happy with the way they did it where they just made it an option and that alone was enough to change how everyone was viewing their time. I think just the concept of thinking you have infinity time remaining makes it harder to enjoy even doing things because you just always procrastinate. With the door they actually know it can end so they have motivation to actually do and see everything they want. I do think the existing problem was also exacerbated by noone getting in for over 500 years.

Fun fact: The “Real Good Place” is the Getty Museum in LA. If you’re ever in LA, you need to put it on your list of things you absolutely must do. The architecture and gardens are worth the trip alone. Every time any of my friends or family visit me, I take them there.

I think we both had the same feeling, it would have been a horrible end if they all went through at the same time. But also by them going one by one it gave us a way to say goodbye to the characters individually rather then al at the same time.
