people will hate me for saying this, but I think this one is absurdly good. But then I am loving the little stabs at real world scandals. Like the Vatican Bank, Immobiliare and God's Banker. All nods towards the Banco Ambrosiano and SGI (Societa Generale Immobiliare) and man at the center of that scandal the chairman Roberto Calvi who was rumored to be a member of the illegal former Masonic Lodge Propaganda Due (aka P2). Not to mention the Cardinal Lamberto who seems to be based on Albino Luciani, who became Pope John Paul I and died very shortly into his papacy and was believed by some to have been murdered. Irl he passed away in 1978 sometimes called the "Year of the Three Popes". Disclaimer: Might be off on the names and dates, working from memory here and it ain't getting better over the years.

I Think its a good way to end the Trilogy, the movie was good but I think the gap between the movies didn't help We where not born at this point which explains why we don't know about the "Year of the Three Popes" 🤣

I haven’t watched this movie yet in its entirety. I was turned off by the incest plot and Sophia Coppola is a terrible actor. Maybe when I have time to kill I’ll watch it, but there are so many other, better films I’d rather spend time on. Did you guys like it?

We were reeeeaaallly weirded out by that plot. I don't know if the movie works without it though or if it can be replaced with something else. It was good to complete Michael's story and overall still good. The first and second movies still outshine it but that doesn't necessarily make it bad.
