One of the ongoing undercurrents of the series is that people sometimes genuinely don't hear that they're saying a word differently from everyone else. Pierce has said "Ay-bed" from the very first episode without noticing that others don't. And Britta, despite having lived in New York, never notices that her "baggle" isn't the way everyone else says bagel. (We're told that this comes from creator Dan Harmon's own longtime mispronunciation of the word.)

And I agree -- Danny Pudi (Abed) is a wonderful actor (and mimic) who doesn't get enough recognition.

That is true i never noticed the way they say Aybed, its also clever how the creator added that in it makes it more personal.
