You're right on the button with the Goodfellas reference -- in fact, Ray Liotta's voice-over famously begins with "For as long as I can remember...." just like Abed's did. Pierce's incessant use of "streets ahead" is a prime example of creator Dan Harmon's famously petty ways with online adversaries. (I think it's correct to say that the phrase is used in the UK? but it's virtually unknown in the US.) In one discussion forum, someone kept saying that Community was garbage and the series Glee was streets ahead by comparison. Harmon hated Glee (which was hugely popular right at this time, while Community was struggling to get more viewers), and so he retaliated by having Pierce say the phrase repeatedly and get mocked for it by the others. (In future episodes we'll see more unkind words about Glee, and school vocal groups in general.)

Damn. I completely forgot Annie's Boobs was introduced in Season 1. ;) You guys keep killing it with these reactions, I especially loved the reaction to the door closing reference. I am so excited that we're just about done with the warmup. Buckle up, Ramblers, stuff's gonna get REAL for a long time from here!
