Regarding what happened to the fetus. I think the key thing to remember is that on a biological level the fetus is sort of a parasite. It’s not socially appropriate to describe it in such a manner but at a biological level it very much acts as a parasite and i’ve had professors who described it in such a manner —without that term’s pejorative connotations. In short, the state of being pregnant is an illness, very much like a bad back is an illness, or having ur spine severed with a gun shot is an illness. The second key point is that the creatures blood doesn’t just cure people of illnesses. It removes all signs that they were ever ill. Look at Liza, for example… the creatures blood didn’t just repair her spine. It removed all signs of her ever having a spinal injury. That is why she didn’t have muscular atrophy and didn’t need weeks of physiotherapy once her spinal cord was restored. Connecting those two points.. my theory is that the vampire’s blood treated the fetus as an illness and it restored Erin’s body to a “healthy” state. And like it did with Liza, it left no trace of any prior illness. The fact that HCG and other hormones associated with pregnancy were not in Erin’s blood is not anymore remarkable than the fact that Liza didn’t have muscular atrophy after a couple years of being a paraplegic. Hopefully that made sense. Believe it or not, i was trying to be brief. 🤦🏾‍♂️

That is a very interesting way of looking at what the blood does within the body. We did think by drinking the blood that it was make them younger curing them of any diseases but this makes more sense
