Paul Newman and his wife Joanne Woodward lived in my hometown of Westport Connecticut for many years until Newman's death. It was an easy train ride into New York City and the town's residents were used to famous people being in town and left them alone usually. Redford moved into a nearby town for several years after the first movie they were in together. Newman had several charities and the one he started after this movie was The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. This 9 minute video tells about it.
