Do you have access to the Xrays that are available for each of Episodes 1-5? They are little side stories that help to flesh out the season that was a bit truncated by Amazon (for unknown reasons!) For example the Xray for this Episode was about Drummer and her relationship with Naomi vs her polyamfam. The scene at the beginning on Laconia with the little girl is taken from the novella "Strange Dogs" which was my favorite short story. My feeling was that this story unfolds in parallel with the elements of this season in our galaxy as a way of teasing what is explored in the last trilogy (not yet adapted to television) as a way of convincing a future producer to adapt the last three novels (which deserve being translated to the screen.) Each episode of this season is rich and delicious although I am sorry the show is coming to an end.

Not from the way we were watching it. If only they just fitted it in the actual episode. Oh Amazon. We've seen a few eps in this final season. Would there be any point in watching them all after the final episode?

They need to be watched eventually as they contain scenes relevant to the story of the season. They can be accessed on the computer but not on many of the TV platforms (unfortunately!) You will enjoy them a lot (one in particular). It doesn't matter really if you watch them with each episode or towards the end. The last episode does not have one, only the first 5.
