Carnitaurus and Norfolk compete in the northern regions of Eastern Altimares. Despite the Carnitaurus's appearance, the Carnitaurus they will nearly always attempt to intimidate possible challengers to their catch. Unfortunately, the Norfolk follow a very similar thought process, standing up and shouting with all their might and swinging their arms. Either one side will back down, or they will end up striking each other. Usually, the Norfolk lose a chunk of flesh, but for the Carnitaurus, the end result is typically a mortal wound, even if they manage to scare away or kill the Norfolk.

Carnitaurians are considered a minor blight in the lands they roam. Even in the southern lands of the Argyrian Empire, where they are seen as creatures touched by their deity, Aessur, they are still considered dangerous and a blight.

The Norfolk, a broad term used to refer to the many tribes of humans that exist north of the Altimares heartlands. Unlike many other groups within the continent of Altimares, the Norfolk were never conquered by the ancient empire of the Daedalia, as they retreated deep within the mountainous region of Yisidrill, which proved far too cold and inhospitable for the serpent men of Daedalia.
