Iram, the city of one thousand pillars. 

The reason why the ancient Iramite people were cursed has been lost to legends and myths. Some say that they were punished by the Divine for their decadent and bizarre worship of outer entities, alien to the heavens above and the hells below. Their city and all its inhabitants were vanquished to a blasted and cursed land; the curse twisted and changed the Iramite people into strange new forms.

West of the Khaos Isles, it is said that beyond the massive cliff sides of the island, a scorched land exists with massive pillars jutting out of the cursed dunes; thus, it has been named the island of Iram. None have yet managed to scale the cliff walls of Iram and return alive. The only detailed account of what exists there is one journal known as the last chronicle of Walthart the Vagabond. Walthart was a famed adventurer from the Republic of Vendalia, known for his various travels across the world. He disappeared from all records, his final journal detailing his travels through the Khaos Isles, until the discovery of his last chronicle by a small expedition party traveling around Iram's cliffs.
