Fiona the Sword Saint, chosen by Sköll to replace and pretend to be the true former Sword Saint. During the early days of the Frankish Civil War, the original Sword Saint fell by the hands of a Mithraic assassin. Fiona would recover the sword and impersonate the Saint. Sköll would speak to her for the first time, he was overjoyed as he felt her want for vengeance, her hatred for Vasseur and the Mithra cultists that took everything from her. Her family fell for the deception of the cult, they all offered themselves to the path of self obliteration. Her heart was darkened, despite her calm exterior, Sköll could tell that she wanted to bathe in blood.
William Rosenwächter
Captain of the Rhinelan Nord Group, he was assigned by the Eisenkrieg command to lead the intervention efforts in the Frankish Republic. His command was distinguished by breaking Vasseur's northern defenses and reaching the outskirts of Luthum before the Catharin forces or the Leon Loyalists.
This is all a propaganda screen, as the Rhinelan forces have managed to avoid most of the toughest fighting in the south. His true mettle was tested on the outskirts of Luthum, where the Nord Group faced the elite Frankish Republican Guard and the Royalist Vasseur Guards. They were unable to breach the defenses in time to stop Vasseur.
When the enigmatic Crowsteel requested help infiltrating the Luthum barrier and assassinating Vasseur, William volunteered to assist him and the Sword Saint in their mission.
Crowsteel
An enigmatic figure that has persisted among the tales of the Frankish people, since the days of the Doomknights and after, he is said to be the last of the true blooded Vampires. He is said only appear at times and sites of great importance, rarely if ever interfering with the plots and schemes of mankind, yet he is always watching.
As the machinations of the Reborn Sun King Vasseur fell in place Crowsteel made his moves within the capital of Luthum, hunting high and low all collaborators of Vasseur. He would attempt to stop the Apotheosis of Vasseur unsuccessful being stopped by the manifestation of Mithraic Valkuries.
He would narrowly escape Luthum, witnessing first hand the rupturing of the material sky and the first flash of the iridescent sun spots. He would make his way towards the Coalition Command, there he would request the assistance of the Sword Saint and anyone that would brave the strange Luthum barrier and help him stop Vasseur.
Frankish Republican Guard Sharpshooter
Specialized units within the Frankish Republican Guard, armed with precision fire arms and tasked with disrupting enemy command by targeting officers.
As the defensive line fell and the battle reached the outskirts of Luthum, the Frankish Republican Guard Sharpshooters fell back into the suburban sprawl outside of Luthum. There, they alongside the remaining Vasseur Loyalist forces stopped the Coalition's advance, grounding it to a halt.
Royal Guard Elite
The elite division within Vasseur's Royal Guard, they command squads of Royal Guard. As the battle for the heart of the Frankish lands drew on, they slowly began to lead Republican Guards, as the number of Royal Guards began to be spread thin among the fronts.
Once the Coalition reached the outskirts they fell back into Luthum proper, they would prepare to hold the Gates of Luthum against the Coalition's onslaught. They would not get to do this, as before the Coalition managed to fight their way through the outskirts, their glorious leader would enact the final step of his plan.
Sun Kissed Laborers
These poor souls were used as slave labor to construct the Luthum defensive line. Many of them were recalled to the city to fortify it further, with the ultimate intention of eventually sacrificing them to the great Mithraic fire. Once Vasseur began his apotheosis, the skies above Luthum changed, with a bizarre iridescent light. All exposed to it changed and warped; most commonly, their heads burst into a blazing orb. They aimlessly wander the streets of Luthum now.
Mithraic Priest
Strange towering figures, seemingly twisted underneath their white cloak. They hide their faces beneath a golden sun mask that features a jubilant face. They are most commonly seen observing the ritualistic fire pits in which thousands are offered up to Vasseur, all to power his ascension. They are silent and move oddly, when all have been offered they willingly give themselves over to the Valkur.
Mithraic Valkuries
Enormous entities of cognitive manifestation, the Valkur are the primary representatives of Mithra's will in the physical realm. They are serpentine in appearance, with bright red skin, clad in golden armor, and white cloth and wings. They are an odd sight to behold. As Vasseur's apotheosis reaches its peak, their numbers increase in the material realm, although contained to Luthum for now; if Vasseur succeeds, they will surely terrorize the world.
Kasia Augustyn
A powerful War Witch serving within the Frankish Republic, she was among the first to side with Vasseur during the Radiant Revolution. She has served as part of Vasseur's personal guard, protecting him from several attempts on his life by Catharin extremist and secular assassins. During the Frankish Civil war she has mainly stayed within Luthum, watching over the great city well Vasseur dealt with greater matters.
Kasia is not of Frankish descent; she and her family come from the former state of Polonia, which was taken by Rhine and Ruthenian states in the early 19th century. She is part of a proud and strong community that has, in one way or another, attempted to keep the spirit of their homeland alive, with a grand collective wish to one day see it reformed and independent.
Endless Waltz
The Rhinelander and the Franklander could not understand Kasia's feelings. Emperor Vasseur promised her the return of her homeland. The fire of Mithra would burn down the current world order, and from the ashes, Polonia would arise once more.
Obliteration Opera
The skies are strange above Luthum; the Valkur descended to the streets of the now-ashen city. They reach out for all those left behind from the many great offerings—these individuals, all chosen as they are of greater substance to Mithra. Massive hands envelope them; they are taken away, safely stored within the jaws of the Valkur.
One Second to Midnight
A nuclear warhead is aimed at Luthum. At the break of dawn, the Americans will wipe the city off the face of Europa. Secretary of Defense Winters is observing the situation closely, as news quickly reached his office that Kissinger was within the zone; this only slightly complicates matters. Regardless of what happens, the deadline is set.
