Psu: BEHOLD! CORN.

Gunwild: It's worth mentioning that no, this is not canon. Kettlehead's having a bad post-cleaning dream, I bet. Also, Theira's DNA-absorption is passive rather than active - it's not too helpful from a predator's standpoint to take on all the traits of your food, after all.

Psu: Also I guess if we're being "scientifically accurate" I'm pretty sure DNA is torn apart by the processes of air-frying, syruping, or dorito-ing. And it would not be evolutionarily beneficial to become part dorito.

Gunwild: Well, one thing is scientifically accurate. Corn IS grass.

Psu: It's a-maize-ing, isn't it?

Gunwild: I didn't learn that until I was an adult okay, I get to be fascinated by it forever. Much like Theira and Kettlehead, as an American, I've eaten corn all the time for as long as I can remember.

Psu: There's honestly a good chance if you're in America and eating anything, there is a bit of corn in it. So of course a species whose biology copies notes from the most common DNA in their environment would eventually become CORN.

Gunwild: One time the band Korn did a weird cover of the funk/R&B song "Word Up" and I liked it a lot.

Psu: Yo that beat be popping. Sorry everyone, I'm actually babysitting my brother's kids and I'm legally bound to make punny jokes.

Gunwild: Corny jokes.
