Saturday Update! (Patreon)

Okay so this is gonna be a different kind of update because I did a bunch of stuff last week that wasn't writing the script ^^;

I received and stored 3 shipments of merch stuff, so now I have everything I ordered [ except for one box. explained at the end of the post ]. Unfortunately I still can't sell anything because my store is closed and the postal situation hasn't improved at all [ I usually close my store in december anyway because I don't like christmas hysteria tbh ] But I do at least have the stuff so hopefully someday soon I can start selling this stuff.

My 'domestic warehouse' is completely full now. I know people are eager for me to sell this stuff and I want to unload it too. I'm sorry that it's taking so long and that I'm being so cautious with the postal stuff. Eventually things will work out, I hope.

The new keychains and standees look great in person, I'm very happy with them.

I also had to recycle my old battery backup/surge protector unit because it failed twice recently. This was a major priority to replace because both my computer and backup hard drive would be vulnerable to a power surge or power-outage caused corruption without it. I did manage to get a new one quickly and install it. All good now!

On Monday I had non-game related work I had to finish, and I also went to a local craft fair and got this little guy:

On Thursday I visited my friend in the city and her baby and we watched kpop demon hunters [ I hadn't seen it yet, it's really good ], and then I visited my parents in the evening for my dad's birthday.

Aside from that, I should have been writing the script, but I wasn't. Well, I replaced one small scene with a scarier version, but basically I got no script writing done.

I'm really sorry about that. I promise I tried. I sat at my computer for hours and stared at the script, but I couldn't really think. Despite all my efforts and getting out of the house and stuff, I'm really struggling with depression right now. I always get hit with seasonal affective disorder every year and it's always especially bad right after the daylights saving switch, but I think it's partially burnout too. I just keep trying to write and I dissociate so hard. I know I'm exhausted.

The depression was my major issue until Friday, but now it's pretty bad anxiety. This situation with a UPS driver has gotten worse and now one of my boxes of enamel pins is missing.

It was several deliveries ago, the dakis, where he asked me what was in the boxes and because I'm a fucking idiot and have trouble lying to people when they ask direct questions, I said what they were. He kept asking more questions and I started getting really uncomfortable, but when I had all the boxes he left. Then on the next delivery many days later he asked if I remembered him and tried to strike up more convo and I just tried to be polite and end the interaction. The same thing happened a third time, but he keeps getting more insistent on asking personal questions and talking.

Yesterday [ Friday ], was the delivery of my pins, and someone must have let him in the building because he came right up to my door. He started asking what I was doing, I said working, and he kept prying and asking more, but I was being firmer and didn't say anything else, I just wanted him to leave really bad, and it didn't really register that he only gave me two boxes, but I knew I was expecting three.

And now I'm pretty sure he held one back on purpose to have an excuse to come to my building again and I'm honestly really pissed off and stressed out, and I know this guy is going way past unprofessional, and I'm trying to report him but the customer service line isn't open yet and I am kind of scared he's going to retaliate because he knows my full name and exactly where I live 😩 And I also don't know if I'm ever gonna get that third box which is it's own nightmare because the 3 boxes have a mix of all the pins I ordered and I'll have to count everything to know whats missing and I don't have the energy for that right now.

Anyway, sorry for venting here. And of course, sorry for not getting anything done last week. I'd like to say that I'll get right back to work next week but I'm not sure. I was already burnt out and now I'm stressed about this fucking UPS guy and my missing pins box.
