Saturday Update! (Patreon)

Good morning ya wee beasties!
I had a pretty productive week last week! I've been feeling healthier still, and I got a lot of placeholders made.
We are now sitting at 729 placeholder sprites. I'm a little afraid to say it, but I think there's a decent chance that this game ends up with 1000+ sprites in the end. I still have a lot of script to cover.
I'm still not even sure of the reason completely. I think my approach to the sprites may have changed since the last game, or maybe it's just Lawrence's nature [ moving around a lot, doing more gestures and body language, being moody, etc ].
But at the end of the day... shrug? I'm in for a penny in for a pound I guess LMAO
Speaking of Lawrence being moody, here's this week's examples 😂
In other news, I spent another Friday working on the book cover for Love Like Drowning [ available on amazon! ] - this time working on the illustration for the back. I'm not finished yet, but I got pretty far:
I have the basic colouring of Sinclair [ on top ] and Gregory [ laying in clover ] done, but I'll be adding in a lot of lighting later. I also need to draw the real water surface- that semi transparent flat look is just a placeholder for now. And I think I'll probably end up tightening up the clovers a bit more too. But so far I think it's going fairly well!
And this doesn't have anything to do with anything, but just in case people wanted to see an update on my bedroom project I started a while ago- I got the extra slats I needed in the mail and put them up last Saturday after my previous update. Now my wall is done!
I know the cord looks bad, but I have a bookshelf coming from Ikea that I'm gonna put in the corner that'll cover it up so that's only temporary!
I'm really happy with how it turned out ^o^
Willow Corner!
Thank you guys so much for your support and your patience with me taking some time away to work on that book cover, and also your patience with me drawing way too many goddamn sprite placeholders 😂 Ahhh.... I hope I can still finish the game in a reasonable amount of time eventually...
But for now, I just keep working! See you next week!
