CG COMPLETION: 46/181

Hello again folks!

It's gonna be a slightly somber update again I'm afraid ^^; The season is dark and cold, the news is bad, and the future is uncertain and scary, so I've been battling some depression.

On the bright side, I think I'm doing a pretty good job at both accepting the depression/stress for what it is and doing what I can to alleviate it. I'm using my SAD lamp every day, doing yoga and breathing exercises, and trying to eat a healthy balanced diet.

I worked for my normal hours last week [ actually, I squeezed in a little overtime ], but I feel like I didn't accomplish quite everything I wanted to. Even though I'm putting in the time, it just feels like I'm not working as efficiently as I could. I'm 100% sure this is because of my mood, so I'm just gonna keep doing what I can to take care of my mental health.

I actually thought of a little mantra to help me when the news is freaking me out:

"The world has not changed, only our perception of the world has changed"

That helps me stop the rising panic when I get swept up in everything.

Anyway! Enough about me, let's talk about my work!

So, this week, I tried to tackle a huge set of variants. The largest set of variants in the game actually. I have a set of 9 CGs that are all variations of the same scene. That's because it's a long scene that would normally do well with sprites, but MC is on their back on a sort of table for the whole thing, so sprites weren't going to cut it if I wanted to keep things immersive.

I had grand plans of completing all the variants in one week and being able to clock in a whopping 9 CGs, but that didn't uhhh.... really pan out -_- I only managed to complete 6 of the variants.

I'm not gonna dump all 6 because I think you guys get the idea x'D The variants I did this week were mostly just completing the main picture, then getting some hands in at various and hopefully logical locations x'D The remaining 3 variants are a bit heavier on workload since I'll need to redraw a full bodies for them.

If you look at it one way, "wow! I completed 6 CGs in a single week!" But if you look at it the other way "Huh. I only completed half of a very fancy CG in a week :( "

I don't know how to look at it really, and I guess it's not important in the long run anyway xD The important thing is that I just keep moving and doing my best. And even though I personally feel like I came up a little short last week, I can also confidently say that I did my best.

And that drawing a made up knife from different angles is really super hard LMAO

Anyway, sorry for rambling so much xD

Thank you guys so much for hanging on and staying with me during tough times. Even just emotionally, it means a lot to have someone to share my work with and ramble at every Saturday. And I genuinely cannot thank you guys enough for giving me access to a safe job right now. It means EVERYTHING to me.

Please stay safe and have a good weekend! <3

Even if you didn't get everything you wanted done, you still got something done. In the end, a little progress is still progress. Just keep doing what you can. Hang in there.
