Saturday Update! (Patreon)

CURRENT CG COMPLETION: 176/181

Hello again my friends! It's time for updates~

I'm gonna be real with you, last week was kind of a bitch. I was struggling with a myriad of small health and emotional problems and just kinda limped through. Nothing serious! Just small stuff mostly related to booster shot side effects, a nightmare Time of The Month™ [ TMI sorry ], and unfortunately timed blood donation.

I'm doing a bit better and coming out of it all I think, but the bottom line about work is that I came up pretty short on Friday [ again =_= ]. I think I'm also hitting some burnout- but I still want to continue limping ahead for these last 5 CGs [ single scene ] and just tough it out- then I'm going to treat myself to a week off before I start the audio.

I did still however complete the last two CGs on Celia's path from Monday-Thurs! I had to build a new background for them but it wasn't very difficult so I managed to stay on schedule for those.

I'm quite happy with them and how the expressions came out. I was also delighted to draw from a different angle than I usually end up with LMAO

And of course- Celia's path is now complete! 🎉🥳

All that's left is 5 CGs - one large scene from Derek's path. The scene is unfortunately very spoilery so I won't be able to actually show very much of it in the couple of weeks coming ^^; But I'll try and show snippets if I can.

I'll have to fully build a new background as well, a closeup of the camp BG from a different angle. Luckily, I kept the scene I built in the sims 4 for that background so I have screenshots to work from to make my life a lot easier.

This will provide the 'bones' to the background.

From there, I need to do 5 versions with characters in different poses- and there is a little bit of repetition between them so I'm hoping that makes it a smidge easier as well.

And once that's done, staycation time! And then audio! I can also use some of my time off to research where I actually want to buy my audio from [ I still haven't done that ^^; I've been so busy with the art ]. There's a few website repositories where you can pay a lump sum and then download whatever music and sound effects you need for a project, so hopefully I can find something robust that will allow licensing for a game I intend to sell. And hopefully for a reasonable price LMAO

I'm also going to see if I can do a little shmoozing to buy licensing for a certain song for the credits page...🤞 will keep y'all posted on that endeavour. 

And I think that's all I have for you guys this week! I'm sorry for not completing the sketch for next week's CG yet 😓 I'm hoping my health and stuff perks up this weekend and I can hit the ground running one last time for one last scene. I know I can do it!

And of course, thank you guys SO much for your support! It's so crazy to be this close to done the art and we've been through so much together now. What a strange time in my life. I feel like I've done a lot of changing and growing myself as a person over this project. Thank you for being by my side through this. And, as always, it's an absolute pleasure to work for you <3
