Content

Earlier today I made a post announcing that after my current ongoing projects, I'll be taking an indefinite hiatus from creating content. here's the post if you're interested https://www.jocat.net/

So then, with that being the case, I wouldn't feel comfortable continuing to make money off a promise I wasnt keeping. That said, I still have bills to pay, so I will be keeping this patreon going at least for however long it takes for me to finish Heart of Elynthi. I will also be making sure to upload whatever assets left over from the project for you guys to use however you wish. But after that is over, I am considering closing this patreon to go along with my hiatus online, as I do not feel comfortable taking your money for nothing in return.

I love making videos. I love sharing my videos with the world. But unfortunately people on the internet can be cruel, and if that's the tradeoff for posting them online, I don't think I'm comfortable doing so. Perhaps I may only share them here exclusively, but I'm not settled on that decision just yet.

Whatever the case may be, you'll know when I know. And thank you so so much for supporting me all these years.

I just want to say: You are a wonderful, amazing person, and I am so sorry that this is happening to you. You don't deserve any hate. I'm going to remain a Patreon for as long as you're willing to accept my money.

Jin

You have my support until such time that you decide to pull the plug on Patreon. Love all the stuff you've put out and sorry people are being asshats about it.

Gamyeon

I'm so sorry to know you got hate and harassment over such a wonderful video. I don't get how someone could get angry over it or mock it. But then again, I don't understand people that harass others online and go to the lengths of offline threats either. Take care of yourself. As much as I want you to keep sharing the amazing stuff you do and the wonderful person you are, your health and well-being come first and foremost. And I'll keep donating to this Patreon until you decide you don't want to keep it open anymore.

Jon

Your content is outstanding - I wish you nothing but the best

Colin Hicks

It's crushing to hear the hate you've received and that you have to leave something you love. I hope you know that you've brought so much joy to so many people Joe. I have loved everything you put out because it was you; your personality and style shining brightly. Thank you for all the joy you've brought me, us, and yourself, I'm so sorry that this is the way it ends. You're doing what's healthiest for you (which could never be weak) and I respect you infinitely for it. I wish you the best in all future endeavors and may your love and passion carry you through a wonderful life. You deserve it. We love you Joe ❤️

wyrm

You did good, and always have. I wish only that the world were different; I wish I was able to make it so. For you and many others.

William Gottfried

I find myself struggling to find the right words. I can't adequately describe how positive of a person you are or how much I appreciate that and I think it brings light to a dim world. I love your work and I hope that you're able to find happiness with whatever you do and that when you know what makes you happy, that you can hold onto that and never let anybody take it away from you.

Magiwarriorx

I've followed your content almost as long as I've played 5e, ever since Crap Guide: Barbarian. Your animations have always been a spark of happiness, regardless of what ever else was happening in my life. My s/o and I adore Gobbo, and have a little Makeship Gobbo collection; every now and then we break out in a cold sweat, worried if we somehow missed the latest one. I wish you luck in whatever you do, and will support whatever you put forward. I hope you return some day. Even if you don't, thank you for everything.

HabeasPorpoise

I've been a huge fan of your work for years now, even though by and large I don't participate significantly with any of the media your content has related to (FF; D+D; etc.) Part of that is simply that I love your animation style and energy, but part of why I moved from just watching and enjoying your videos to joining here on patreon and sharing your videos is because of your quiet and nuanced stances on expression in all sorts of ways. I'm a cis guy who likes cute things, both in what I seek out for content, and in how I express myself. Seeing someone online who captures that just tickled me. Then seeing you publicly fundraise for trans rights just cemented how big a fan I was. I'm sorry that the cruel internet populations took such terrible and extreme actions against you. Know that your content has touched thousands and thousands of people, and I hope that people will respect your decision. I know that Lindsey Ellis had a similar experience with the Twitter mob and moved to sharing her content on platforms like Patreon (and in her case Nebula) rather than on major public platforms like Youtube.

Rick Jenkins

I can tell that this has been a difficult decision for you, and I respect your choice to step away from the public eye. I love your videos and I hope that you'll choose to post more content here IF you're comfortable doing so.

The Critic of Innocence

As one who learned of you through your very helpful dnd guide videos, this is very sad to hear that some very bad people have hurt you and those around you so. Take as much time as you want on this hiatus and know that your supporters will still be here when you get back.

Cassim Montilla

I decided to subscribe to this patreon today. I've been enjoying your content for years and I want to show my support. I also sent you a DM on Twitter with more details. I respect your decision and want to support however i can.

Scooteroo

I love your content and hope you can come back someday. I'm joining this patreon to help you out because I feel really strongly about online harassment and bullying (ESPECIALLY for something so stupid like this.) So please take what little I can share and use it support yourself and family! <3

Topiary

I’m so sorry that you’ve been going through this. My wife and I have been long time fans of yours and I’d like you to know how much your content helped me in feeling more secure in my own identity. We truly wish you all the happiness in the world.

ZBeevr

Long time listener, first time caller. I saw your recent post and came here to join your paid Patreon tier just to tell you that you're amazing. I know it's... hard to deal with the internet, particularly when 90% of it is getting your work for free and taking it all for granted. You deserve a break if that's what you think you need. I hope you come back, but if not, I hope you find the same kind of joy and passion you put into your art and animations in something the negativity can't touch. You're an amazing person and you will be missed. So here, let me help you just a little bit with those bills for all the times I took your amazing work for granted, myself.

Mr. Nugget

Your content always makes me laugh. Your crap guides are a staple in my inner circle of friends. I support any decision you make for your channel. I understand people can be cruel, but i hope one day i can see a new video on my youtube feed titled "im back"

Disappointingly Average

I joined your patreon today and will leave it active indefinitely. My wife and I have enjoyed your content for years, and in the most positive, inclusive way possible, you are a chad for putting yourself out here for others to see. Some people are little and broken and can't help but be cruel, but I would imagine those of us who love the part of your soul that you share online outnumber them 10 to 1 at the VERY least. If your heart and mind takes you away from creating content, that is ok. You don't owe anyone the suffering you are enduring. From my wife and I to you, thankyou for giving us this peak into your beautiful soul. I hope you do what is best for your happiness, wherever that road takes you.

Joshroom

Your content has always filled me with warmth and joy and your FF14 Crap guide and 300 hour video is what finally convinced me to give it a shot; I have now been playing it for at least that long and will continue to do so (seriously, I love it). I am so sorry that you have recieved such negativity but I want you to know that you have been a wonderfully positive influence yourself. True luck in all you do from here on and know that my Patreon support is going nowhere soon. All the best you lovely person.

JoBot011

Honestly I would happily give you money for nothing in return. You deserve it, especially after all of this.

Foxdoc

It's awful what you've been through. Your content and your kindness and compassion are wonderful, and to see they've been rewarded with hatred and threats is devastating. I consider every penny I've spent on this Patreon and on a Gobbo MakeShip Plushie a penny well spent. Hoping to see you online again someday in the future.

Zachary Faulkner

I'm so sorry to hear that you've been going through this and I understand why you're stepping away. I wish you only the best Jocat. Take care of yourself.

Bondabin

Jo you have inspired me. Ever since I first heard of you as the Wiggler Hat wearing Sword and Shield loving guy who did Crap Guide to Monster Hunter. You inspired me to try new weapons, to add spice to my play, to add spice to my life, to add my own spice to the lives of those I love. Your Crap Guide to D&D series helped me continue to grow and explore new ideas. Your Gobbo animations fill me with joy. The list goes on... What im trying to say is Thank You. For everything. There is a warm community for you wherever you may go. Stay safe Jo, we'll be here.

Piper Gohl

I'm so heartbroken to hear that people have been such monsters towards you. Your videos have always been such a delight to watch, from the Crap Guide to MH series (SnS gang!) to D&D and FFXIV. They always brought a smile to my face. Also, seeing your FFXIV raids for charity always helped to restore some of my faith in a world that is increasingly hostile to trans people like myself. I wish you all the best in whatever endeavour you pursue after this, and thank you so much for all of your wonderful work to date. Wishing you all the best of luck and fortune in your future! (and secretly hoping that we haven't seen the last of you haha)

Kalean

Hearing you go through that is painful - noone is less deserving of this ichor and venom. Rest, heal up, take a break. If we don't get you back, it's our loss, but you have to take care of yourself and yours first. Consider NOT cancelling your patreon, just change the listed rewards to gratitude or something. Or just open another one and send out an alert. We're your patrons, not your employers. It's you we support. Not your content, no matter how grand-stonking amazing it always is.

Ashtia

Reading the retirement post... WHY THE HELL ARE APOLOGISING FOR 'MAKING TROUBLE'??? All you've ever done is create an inclusive, wholesome community that I was always proud to call myself a part of and support. You've done the opposite of cause trouble. You know who does make trouble? The people who lashed out against you. I understand that quitting is in your best interests, but go out with your head held high king.

Oxxian

Your videos helped reintroduce me to dnd after about a 25 year break they encouraged me to get out the house and find a group to play with and my life has improved measurably because of it. You have done nothing to deserve what is happening to you. I totally understand the reaction to doxing and threats. I want to support you in this time so I've subscribed here I'm not sure it there's a better way to send you money but I'll keep this running as long as I can to help with your transition to something new or in hopes of your return. Thanks for helping an old man dream again.

Lisa Marie

I've only watched your stuff for a little while now, I knew of you from some viral videos that I never really committed to watching and heard about JOmega prog early on but never sat down to watch. For some reason, YT's algo decided I should watch the TTS bikubot Gobbo video and I immediately jumped right in. Your stream's vibe was so welcoming and gentle but also silly and light-hearted, I felt comfortable straight away. To know that during all these comfy streams you were enduring the worst of the worst the internet could offer is soul crushing and borderline radicalising. That someone so genuine could be chased away by people who have nothing but hatred in their hearts... if I could Rage irl I would. Whatever you decide to do with your platforms I'll support you. I hope that even without the internet's bizarre validation machine you still create cute and silly work, and in depth fantasy game UI that won't be made into a game.

In a barrel

I am eternally grateful for the amazing content you have created. I consider the Crap Guide to D&D series to be some of the best content on the internet. I regularly go watch your videos to help cheer myself up after a bad day. Please know there are a ton of people who love, appreciate, and support you. P.S. I literally joined Patreon to support you.

Warren Garabrandt

Long time listener, first time caller. Thanks for all the amazing content you've created and shared with us! I'm sorry the shit bags on the internet have ruined this for you. It seems like the whole planet is veering off into darkness. Maybe one day after we've beaten these assholes back into the shadows where they belong the atmosphere online will swing back to more favorable conditions. If in the future you decide to return, just know that your loyal fans will be here to welcome you back with open arms. On a side note, have you considered only sharing new stuff with us in a more closed environment where dirtbags can't see it and get any shitty ideas?

Will

I'm so sorry to hear what you've been going through. I joined the Patreon to support you, and I'm not leaving.

Hammer_

Let me start by saying I'm very sorry that the community and in all honesty the internet in general has become a toxic place. Home to groups of very toxic individuals who jump at anything just to harrass and hurt people. As someone who has delt with a toxic work place enviroment oneself. I understand and support your call to seperate yourself from it as it really can effect your work ethic and you health in general. Just know Me (and many others) have enjoyed your content for a number of years. I always looked foward to the next video or stream vod as I love listening to them while I worked as an escape from my own problems. Although It's hard to see you go just know that there are people who have, and always will, support you. And if you do return in the future. We'll welcome you back with open arms. I hope you leave the Patreon open. Even if you post random drawings and stuff inregualrly and keep us updated on yourself. I'd gladly pay to know that someone who has inflenced and improved my life is happy and healthy. we all hope to hear from you again. And if we don't. We wish you luck on your future ventures and hope you'll remember that you will always be part of your community's lifes.

Ami Mizuno

I'm sorry to hear this all. You deserve better than this - everyone does but you in particular are near and dear to all our hearts and have shared a lot of yourself with us, so we feel it more when it happens to you.

Random Space Marine

I am sorry so much has been happening to you. I can't even imagine what kind of personal hell people have been giving you or what's been eating at you But I wanna start supporting you before it's too late. I love what you do, you got me into 14 and taught me so much. But I wish you all the best in the future. Whatever that will hold (Maybe someday we'll get you into 40k) But I think for a lot of people would love to keep supporting you even if you don't make content anymore. Times are tough and your community is here to help you

logan mendez

Jocat I only recently joined your patreon. But I have been a fan for years. You are honestly my favorite person on youtube. I just wanted to let you know that you have helped me through some tough times and that I'm sorry that you have to go through this. I'm not going to stop supporting you unless I have no choice. you have helped me and I want to help you for as much as you let us.

Pawkeshup

I joined solely to tell you that you're loved and valued. You have brought a lot of joy and laughter, and to hell with the joyless haters coming after you. Do what you need to do. I just wanted to give you the praise you deserve.

CrabWizard12

if this is the only chance to say it, you should know that you have been nothing but an amazing person to watch, and an inspiration to me ever since the first day I began following your work. I don't think there are any around who do it quite like you, and you will be dearly missed. It has been an absolute blast experiencing what you had to say, and I will never regret a single dollar I sent your way for the wonderful work you have always made. I hope you can rest easy once you begin your hiatus, but you deserve to know that I will forever treasure the things you created.

Celestial Crafter

Even if you stop making stuff during your break, I'm sure many of us would still be willing to be your patrons (whether you pause Patreon or not), and would probably still even throw money at you to make sure you can relax and feel safe (I know my partner and I would!). I orginally found you via the DND crap guides, and then the FFXIV crap guides (no lie, learned how to tank and heal via your guides), and have been following along enjoying pretty much everything you put out. My only wish is that you and your family are safe, even if that means being gone from online for a while (or forever).

Unconquered Strength

I understand your pain Jo. I once had a fitness YouTube channel ware I talked about fitting and weight lifting. The comments and such got so bad because I did not look the part forced me to stop posting. Yhat and YouTube are shots when it comes to gym music in the background. I really enjoy your content and the spooky 👻 slice song makes me want to try reper one-day. My advice keep doing what you enjoy doing. Your fans are your extended friends. Let us offer you a hand up when your down. J7st as you and your videos did when we were feeling down. You got this and intern we got you.

Kristina

I joined because of that post - you bring a lot of joy to me and my friends, and you should have a space to share what you make. I'm hoping that you continue to let the patreon run for a while longer, even if you take a break from the internet. Your mental health needs to come first, and you should be able to tend to that without stressing about money.

Dummy_Vicc

Heard about what happened from a different ttrpg youtuber urging his audience to not be horrible online, but I hope you and your family are currently doing ok. Even if you never come back to making stuff online, I hope you know that you've been the cause of much joy and that most of us wish you all the best with whatever you choose to do with your life. Hope you have a happy and safe holiday period<3

Dragonstorm6490

I joined to say this. I know things are dark and people have been cruel but thank you so much for your content. On days that I thought it would be to much that the darkness in my life would win your content would make me laugh and bring back the light. You deserve to be happy and comfortable so while I hope one day you resume content making your happiness should come first. Just remember for every yin there is a yang you have done great good for people sadly those you have brought joy to aren’t at loud or present as the cruel people but know you have done great good and I thank you for it❤️ where ever life takes you either back to content making or to bigger greater things be well be happy and know you are loved.

Shannon

There's not much I can say that other folks haven't said already, so please accept the heartfelt well wishes of a new patron who wants only good things for you and yours, and do whatever you need for your safety and comfort.

Starr Johnson

I too joined just to say thank you Jo, my sons and I love your content and are very sad to see this. The internet is dark and full of terrors, tis true, but you have been a beacon to many, and you taught me how to be green dps! XD I literally can not thank you enough for the laughs, they are worth more than gold to me. Keep being you Jo, don't let the arseholes get you down ♥

Rose

All the hugs. You have nothing to apologize for, and the fact that you're subjected to this is beyond ludicrous. So sorry you're dealing with those people. As one Jo (formerly Joe) to another, and as a longtime fan, thank you for everything you've done. Your videos brought me joy in some of the unhappiest times of my life, and continue to bring joy now that those times are long passed. Heck, I still come back to that FFXIV viewer roast clip whenever I want a quick laugh, and I haven't even played since FFXI. It's been great watching you as a wonderful example of positive masculinity. Your allyship to the trans community has been great to see. As I've grown to accept myself as a trans woman and navigate the frustrations of transition, your positivity towards all women has absolutely brought comfort. So, yeah. Thank you. We'll all be here for you whenever you come back. I do hope you decide to stick around, at least on Patreon; you're not taking our money for nothing in return, you've brought great joy. And even if you don't come back, we'll certainly remember you fondly. Please take care of yourself.

DragonLord

Joined only now and will stay until you stop accepting money here. Didn't have the resources to do so for a good while despite how much I love everything you have put out Thank you for everything. I remember being the first in my friend group to see your first Crap Guide to MH. I remember being so proud of being in that community that recognised how damn good you are. Your rise was as meteoric as it was well earned. I am really saddened to here the situation that has happened. You are a phenomenally genuine person and I wish you all the best on your hiatus to come and beyond it. While I really hope you do come back, I respect your choice if you stay gone as much as it sucks to type out that possibility. Regardless you will be sorely missed, you are a well deserved legend in several communities and a legend of person in general. Take care and I hope a smile is never far from your face.

UntitledGoose

Signed up to Patreon to pay it forward- Im not having the greatest time in life at the moment nor can I offer much in return but your content has been such a core piece in my watching histoy since the Monster Hunter stuff. I can definitively say that I've resparked some friendships over a funny Crap Guide an old friend sent me, the FF14 videos helped me stick with the game till i had my own 300 hours till i liked FF14 and I remeber bing watching all the Character creator critique and the platnum nuzlocke. So thank you Jocat- I'll keep this tickin' till the day you wont let us go any further. Whatever you decide to do, do what you feel is best for you.

Three-Headed Dandy Lion

I'm so glad to see so many other folks who joined just to send you their best wishes. ♥ JoCat, I would like to join the crowd in thanking you for all the love you've poured into your work. You've been a pillar of our household repertoire for years, rare is the week that goes by without a "it's a goddamn mystery - whO KNOWS" that gets yelled in the house. I wish you and your loved ones all the best.

Tinyjumi

Nah, you have to do what you have to do, but I'm signing up here specifically to show support for you regardless of what you decide - your content has brought a lot of happiness to my household since we discovered you a few years back. If you do close this patreon, you should open up a Ko-fi or something for people who still want to help out and show our gratitude for your awesome work and all the good vibes!

Lumi

Thank you for all the happiness and joy you brought to me, my girlfriend and my friends through the years. You deserve all the happiness in the world - without abuse, threats or bullying. I wish you all the best ^-^ I joined the Patreon cause I realized I haven't done it before, despite the fact that you are my favorite. I wish you all the best!

Strega Nona

Love you JoCat. Your videos were why I finally decided to try D&D. I was scared to start but watching your series made me feel like it could be fun and crazy and it was the best thing that’s happened to me in a long time. I’m so sorry that there are such rubbish people in the world. Please keep being uniquely you and putting that into the world, wherever you feel safe.

Kaiser

Jo you've been a major inspiration for dnd, writing and content creation in general. I love what work you've done and I wish you the absolute best. You've helped me be more comfortable with myself and who I am and I thank you for everything. I hope your life is filled with joy, happiness and everything that you deserve. I'm so grateful to of been a part of this. Thank you once again JoCaT.

Sean

Jo, my wife and I have followed you from the beginning. We love your energy, your skill, your work, and all the love you've brought to the community over these years. We're unclear how much longer you'll keep this Patreon running, so we're kicking in as much as possible to support you in whatever steps you take beyond this. Please see it as a long delayed but sincere thank you for everything, and best wishes for where ever life takes you next.

Guardianofroin

What happened to you is truly a crime against all that is good in this world. The fact you faced such hatred and threats should never be tolerated by a just world. I want to keep supporting you for as long as I can, even if you are leaving content creation. I sincerely hope like hell you can come back to content creation once the hate dies down and the deranged mob moves onto a new target, but I understand if you choose not to. You and your family deserve all the happiness in the world. Don't let those cruel psychopaths turn you away from happiness. Pursue your own happiness regardless of what others say. You have absolutely nothing to apologize for, and definitely not to those cretins. Also, side note, the packages and doxxing threats they sent are EXTREMELY illegal no matter where you live. Definitely report that to the authorities if you haven't already. Good chance they can face a prison sentence for what they did. It may even do one or two of them good facing their problems in the prison psych ward with mandatory therapy.

Jdenki

Thank you for everything that you have made. Regardless of what you choose to do, I hope that you will find happiness.

Richard J Bachand

I wish you didn't have to endure what you have, I also wish I had checked out your content earlier. I don't care if you never publish any more content, you have my unconditional support. Thank you for all you have done.

Richard J Bachand

I also need to add you have nothing to apologize for, please don't think any of this is your fault. Much love from the kingdom of Ricksylvania.

Bayley Adams

Hello JoCat, happy to hear from you and then quite a few other emotions when I read further! I haven't read everyone's discussion above, but a decent chunk of it. To you I'd like most to express gratitude: my wife and I also share the catchphrase "it's a goddamn Mystery WHO KNOWS!?", and it's a joyful silly thing that I treasure. So, thank you. I am glad to have known you, a little bit, through your work. That will be true whether you come back or not - a lot of the above is phrased as "until you return". I can't blame people for hoping, but for the record, I like you whether or not you decide to post more of your stuff online. As one more data point, I would continue my membership whatever you did, I consider it all back-pay for the Crap Guide to D&D in any case ;-) And if Patreon ends up being a healthier place where you want to keep sharing your work, then I'd be glad of it.

son of gaming

Hey, there. You will probably not see this, butt (he he) be informed that I just now joined this patreon to thank you for all you have done, all the laughs you gifted me. And I fully support you leaving an occupation that just does not make you happy anymore.

NeosGuardian

Thank you for all the content you've made and all the good you've put out in the world. Please do what is best for your sake and your health/happiness and don't feel the need to apologize. Whatever you decide to do, I pray that it leads you to a wonderful and bright future.

Normalin

Even though I am so late to the party, take as long as you need. Your work is a genuine delight in the current time and you deserve to feel that is appreciated. We will be here for you if and when you feel comfortable enough to return. We love you.

Alex T

Gutted that you've had to endure such douchebaggery. Thanks for all the info laughs. Hope things get better.

Flash

If you plan on returning one day, I think you can put payments on pause after your projects, so that it won't be so hard to build back the Patreon on your potential return. If you don't return, I wish you nothing but the best, I hope you will get better and that crazy people will vanish from your life.

Thea Waters

Hey Jocat, I don't really know the best way to reach out and offer support, but I wanted to offer it anyways, for whatever it might be worth. I know you're going through a lot right now, and I'm not really sure if you'll even see or read this. I am a trans woman, and it's pretty safe to say in my mind that you existing as yourself, being who you are and who you want to be openly and publicly, helped me to realize that truth about myself. I'm happy with myself and how I dress and who I am for the first time in my 34 years of life, and I don't know if I would have ever gotten there without your help. I know the video brings you a lot of pain now, but I still revisit the 'I like girls' video from time to time. It helps to have someone I look up to who puts it so plainly that I don't need to look or dress or be a certain way in order to be a woman. I know you hear plenty about how much people hate it, and so I wanted you to know that it also gives some people strength. I have one request, if you don't mind. It might be weird or a little selfish of me, this fan you know nothing about, to ask this of you, but I'm going to ask it anyways. Find your happiness, Jocat. I don't know if it'll be here or elsewhere, but I can't bear the thought of the person who (intentionally or not) brought so much joy to my life not having that joy in their own. As long as you promise us you'll seek out whatever brings you joy, that's enough for me to feel good about this parting. Until we meet again, May you ever walk in the light of the Crystal. - Thea

Michael Hewitt

My heart bleeds for what you've been enduring. Know that their hate might be loud but the care and support we feel for you is stronger. You have brought so much joy and laughter to my life and the lives of my friends. Should you come back I will happily support you again, and I'm comfortable supporting you even after you finish your projects. You are wonderful and please don't let those hateful voices stop you from doing what you love.

Zac Shilling

I know I’m just one voice in the choir here, but I just wanted to make it known the only way I know that you’re one of the good ones. Your content is so heartwarming and brilliant, clever, funny and most importantly honest. All of these things are rare by themselves, together they are unheard of. The internet will be less bright with you gone from it, but I hope nothing for the best for you in whatever you choose to do. Please don’t delete your Patreon, just put it on pause in the event that one day you might like to return, because I can say wholeheartedly that we’ll be here for you if you do. -Zac

Miss Wigglebutt

I just signed up. One month at top tier. Just as a going away present. I looked up to you as a queer supportive content creator on platforms I consider to be very unfriendly. Not that there are many friendly places or platforms nowadays.

Miss Wigglebutt

I wasn't done writing and I think it posted. I have no idea how this site works. Anyway. I am so sorry this stuff has affected you, and your life. I never got into content creation or the public eye for much the same reasons. I hope one day you come back but... Best wishes. If you ever do more plushie runs I missed out on the original Gobbo and I'll gladly buy a few. Y'know. If ever the bills pile up. Idk I'm terrible at this sorta stuff.

Lux

I just want to say thank you for being you. I think the content you've made is wonderful. I work within the lgbtq+ community in my area and frankly your choices and representation have been touching to experience and nerd out with. I hope our paths cross one day in smiles and friendship but if they don't know your work will be fondly remembered! Call my subscription a parting gift from a friend you may never meet.

Spectral Dragon

I'm afraid I only know you peripherally, but I actually went out to find this patreon as soon as I heard about what was going on. Whatever you do, me and my glow in the dark goblin wish you only the best. You didn't deserve to be treated as you have been, and whatever is best for your health and happiness is what you should be doing. Until then, I'm happy to support to make sure that you go out in a way that makes you happy.

I'm in the same boat. Jocat has been a positive influence in my life, and I felt like I had to give back in some way

KipOfTheMany

Hi Jo! I didn't do much in the community other than enjoy your videos. But please know that they we're among some of the best experiences I've ever had on the Internet. I will miss your cheer, and optimism. Please take the time you need to recover. I would very much like to see you back in my subscription feed one day.

KipOfTheMany

Also, I went looking for this patreon because this all went down. Honestly I regret that it took this happening for me to throw some money your way. I'd gladly keep doing it if you kept the patreon open. Consider it back pay!

Brandon Stone

I very much decided to join the patreon now as opposed to earlier as it’s the first time in my life that I’ve had the disposable income to be able to support. I love your content and I love your vibes. Whether your return to content or not I would be content knowing Gobo has a good home with you.

Spencer Thomas

You have brought a lot of warmth and joy to this corner of the internet. It aches to know that people have caused you and those around you so much pain and stress. As much as I will miss your artistic output, your personality, and the community that has grown around you, you do not owe anyone your mental or physical health. At the risk of speaking for other patrons, I suspect most of us do not see this as a transaction where we pay you money and you give us things. We like who you are and what you do and want you to be supported. Now, many of us want you to have a soft landing wherever your life takes you next. From our perspective, the vast majority of what you have created has been given freely. Do not be surprised if there are many who wish to return the favor. If this is the end, we will miss you. I won't lie - I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more from you in some format that is safer or more comfortable for you, but I think the first priority for most of us is just wanting you to be okay.

Zu

I'm genuinely shocked to hear what's been happening, and the cause. That video was my introduction to you and I've been quietly loving your content ever since. From everything you put out into the world, I believe you're a wonderful human being; and I hate the cruelty of people who claw at any excuse to hate! But as others have said, you owe your health to nobody. I always advocate for putting yourself, your needs, ahead of others wants. Even if you want to do nothing but give to the world, there's nothing you can do if you leave yourself a wreck. This goes doubly when you're the victim of harassment campaigns. I've just subscribed here specifically to support you in whatever decision you make, however you go forward. Right now, it's all that I know I can do outside of words. So I'll be here supporting you for as long as you'll have me. You make sure to put your own needs first. You take care of your mental and physical health, and then whatever you want to do I'm sure the people here will support. I know that I will.

Moriar

I just signed up, and have always enjoyed your content. Please keep the Patreon around on hiatus; I hope to get at least one month's payment your way as a tangible show of support and also would like to support your return if you chose to make one in the future.

Matthew Lotz

I found your channel back in the Crap Guide to Monster Hunter days. I haven't been interested in everything you've done, but I've always been glad you were out there doing it. If you need a break, take one. If that turns into a new direction, follow it. A month of top tier as a small gesture. Now, to go back and watch that glorious SnS video again...

UnfortunatelyNotZko

Hi Jo. After hearing you were stepping back from online I felt this was my last opportunity to send something a bit more material than views and likes on YouTube. I started following your stuff near the tail-end of the Monster Hunter World guides and your D&D videos helped me get into what's now probably my favourite hobby - it's helped me make new friends and keep in touch with old ones. Your videos have helped boost my mood on bad days more times than I can count. Thank you for everything and I wish you the best with whatever comes next.

steven kiland

Been a fan of your work for some time, when I heard what happened I decided to contribute. Whatever you decide, know that you had a positive impact.

Tiggs

Whatever you do in the future, know that we love and support you.

Tegrash

Even if you take an indefinite break, I'd be willing to support you for the content you've provided already. You're honest and deserve better than what you have had to deal with. I hope that my support can help make a small difference in having you know that you've made days brighter with your art. The community you've fostered is genuine and loves your work. More than that, though, we adore and appreciate the person who created it. You need time to yourself, to make the decision that is right for you, but I know several people who would be happy to support you no matter what decision you make because of the impact you've had in their lives. Stay strong, stay safe, and stay true to yourself.

MoonPatch

You've brought me so much joy and, if I'm honest, helped bring positive change into my life that far outstretches your content - I'd be more than happy to continue supporting you, even if just a little, without demanding anything in return - I hope you take care of yourself and don't lose the joy you find in creating, even if you don't share it online anymore.

I'm so sorry such terrible things have been done, you made something sweet, you made people smile- and jaded crule individuals stomped on everything you love...you don't deserve that, you deserve so much more than that.... I can't apologize enough for what has befallen you, but I can thank you for the years of entertainment...the smiles for some of the lowest points in my life, and I sincerely hope- that one way or another you can be freed from these trolls and rest easy

Mr.Sage

I am proud to offer what support I can, just one small voice on the internet. Briefly put: Jo, you are a hero to many. You bring joy to lives. Thank you for the journey. I hope to share more with you again ❤

Jesus Barriga

Joined just to say I love you man and i'm hopeful you return after a hiatus. But if this is goodbye, then thanks for all the fantastic videos! I'm sorry the internet mob is such a shitheap :(

Cuross

I have been living under a rock for the past week and almost a half and just discovered this! I just membered up to show my support. Until the day you decide to drop all the patreon members, I want you to at least have a good meal or whatever you want every month. On me. I've been showing my friends all your crap guide to dnd videos to convince them to play ttrpgs with me and you've been a great source of entertainment for me with your art and music.

Lexy Wolfe (aka Pam)

I just learned about what happened through my son. He had introduced me to your D&D videos and while I wasn't a regular viewer, I loved your work. I became a patreon today to support you. Please consider leaving your patreon open. Just let us know when your hiatus is going to start. Those who do not wish to contribute can remove themselves from a paid status and those of us who wish to support you can do so at a level we are comfortable with. You don't need to feel guilty about accepting our money if it is our choice. And when/if you decide to return, we'll be waiting. And if perchance you find an avenue more fulfilling, we'd love to know you're doing well. Ultimately, it is your choice.

PaddyOFurniture

Heard about the kerfuffle. Just joined to raise the flag and to buy JoCat a JoCaff.

RaptorElite

Just found out what's going on, so I wanted to come over and give a lil support. There's no reason to attack someone just because you disagree with them. It's been great watching your content ever since I found the crap guides, so I hope for the best with whatever life brings next for you. Take good care of lil Gobo.

Matthew Proudman

Dear Jo Thank you for your content. Your content helped me though some dark times in my life. You are deeply talented, please don’t let your talents go to waste for long.

Bover

Agreed! I only just recently started supporting on Patreon, and I'm not gonna stop... I'll happily consider it fair payment for previous entertainment provided!

Mateus Dachwitz

I Saw some videos online about what went down, I've been an, on-again, off-again viewer of your work starting with the crap guides to DND. I don't know if you are reading comments right now but I wanted to say you're a great artist and content creator, not that you haven't heard that from so many people already. I hope you can take time to rest, and whether or not you come back, just know you are still supported and you make great works!

que

Just joined to say I loved your videos over the years and to do what is best for you.

Henrik

NOOOOOOO, this really sucks that some people just cant leet other people be happy without feeling the need to weigh on them theere own terrible version of how the world "should" be. I you read this for any reason JoCat i hope you stand strong (even if you have already done that for a year) never stop doing what your passionate about no mater what some randoms online and irl (gods that must have been terrifying) becaus we might al like "JoCrap" but we al >>>>>LOVE<<<<< JoCat.

Ledgerdemain

I am so sorry to hear this. I just joined, and I have really enjoyed your stuff for FFXIV and D&D. I am really sad to see you go. You will be sorely missed, and I hope that you will be back one day. I am happy to continue supporting your work for as long as you keep your Patreon open. :)

Squid

Joined after taking all the news in... Thanks for the years of content you've given me- although i haven't been able to watch it all (yet) Hopefully I'll lend myself the time to watch some of the content I'm not too familiar with... I keep finding myself drawn back to some of the talks and panels you've done where you've expressed yourself talking about how you've tried to find the formula for your audience. (Things that I'm interested in as a total f*kin' nerd :p) Hopefully you'll enjoy your hiatus- The well deserved break for over stressed champions as one of my old friends called it... I hope to see you around- But if i don't then i hope you know that your videos and content has brought me joy- and will continue to for many years to come

piyopo

I joined to throw some support your way after I heard about what happened. It's an absolute injustice that a wholesome creator like you has been targeted like that, and while I'm sad to see you withdraw from the scene, I completely understand, and I'd do the same thing. You're awesome the way you are, so regardless of whether you're creating content publicly, just keep being you, and do your best not to take any of the bullshit to heart.

PoutinePapi

Hey mate, heard about your situation through the grapevine. Been following your content for years and love it. I'm a cybersecurity consultant, if you ever have questions about yours or your loved ones cybersecurity, you've got a pro-bono consultation with me whenever you need it. Also, just so you hear it, taking breaks and leaving stressful situations, isn't weakness, it's emotional intelligence. And only the truly mature and those who know themselves well, make those hard decisions. Finally, I'll leave you here a copy of the "Litany Against Fear", this little mantra has proved useful to me for overcoming pain and fear. It's even unofficially promoted in the Canadian Army as a non-religious mantra for soldiers. I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain. Stay strong, see you on the other side.

Ruinis

I only recently found the Girls song. Loved it so much I made it into a ringtone. Sorry to hear about your troubles. *hugs*

Chloe Goodchild

Thank you for all the works you've done in the past. I hope we get to see more if you get to a point where you feel comfortable continuing with your videos. Also thank you for always standing up loudly for trans folks and being yourself in general. I have subbed for a small amount here now because I want to be a part of demonstrating support for you plainly, monetarily, because I believe in you and your work and wanna demonstrate that there's power in that positivity that can fight against the negativity that others are dragging into your life on a consistent basis. I hope you get some peace from the noise and the struggle and can take some time for yourself to recover and make your life more comfortable and feel safer. <3 Thank you JoCat!

Myr Lune

I regret not joining sooner - you've brought me great amounts of joy and entertainment. I love your honest and earnest content, your endearing personality, and especially love Gelnek in Dan Jones's campaign. I will absolutely check out Heart of Elynthi from the beginning, provided you keep the series up. Please don't disappear as that would give the abusers exactly what they want. Take my money and stick around please.

Ben Ryan

I wanted to put this up sonner than later but I found myself not finding the right words for this situation but I think I should at least add my own personal experience with your content, although a majority of the stuff I watched is your crap guide to most things when I saw you play FFxiv and made some more videos about it especially Lunarcon I tried it out myself and found a whole new world and experiences that I never thought possible with video games especially with other players. I was always so excited to see your next video or animation as they are always so clever and entertaining. I hope that you can continue to make the things you enjoy making and live the life that you want to.
