I've been in "development mode" for Build 13 for a few weeks now. There hasn't been as much progress as I would have liked, but headway IS being made.

It takes time and effort to build new scenes for the images for the game, and since I'm adding some new locations with several different scenarios in them, I've got a lot of prep work to do. Fortunately, I only have to build the sets once, then I can reuse them in the future. I'm essentially building Erin's entire house and yard for the new version as well as a couple of rooms in Leanna's home, a store in the mall, a restaurant, the park, and a couple of other locations.

I try to make the scene backgrounds and game maps look as much alike as possible, which means I have to find the best tilesets to use or cobble them together from game assets I already have.

Add to that the fact that this build is going to be a public release candidate and in it I'm planning to include a lot of things that I have previously pushed back for one reason or another (the bully personality update and classroom content, for example) there's a lot of work to do.

The good news is that by the end of this coming weekend, I should have some previews to show.
