A while back, I saw a bit of MLP fan art that got some neurons firing. The artist had made the character bipedal, with a more humanoid (but still fairly G-rated) torso as well as clothing, but kept the hooves on all her limbs. I never got into MLP, but the idea of hoof-hands was fun to me. Having a character use objects without issue, until a joke calls for them to fail? Classic!

...I may be in the minority on hoof-hands, though. Oh well.

A week ago a version of this sequence popped into my head, as a potential animation. I wasn't in any mood to draw it, though. Last night, it was time!

Missing - a close-up of hyper-realistic hooves cracking & exploding, to reveal her new hands.

*Shrugs* I've never understood the whole fascination people have with MLP, but whatever floats your boat I guess. Since you've seen me make comments on FA, you at least know I'm favorable towards anthro stuff. I just think it's funny that when the whole Brony thing first started, the furry community basically went, "They're not with us...". Eventually the two fandoms merged though.

I figured the designs were appealing, and maybe the writing was funny. But I also figured at the time that it was a bit late for me to get into a "girls' show", and it's definitely a bit late now. Bronies just made it so much more offputting. Realistically, if I went ahead with this animation idea, it'd be a lot of effort for something that I wouldn't get much mileage out of. Maybe more ideas would come to me, but at the end of the day it's a character I don't own. Granted, I do also have some Disney stuff in mind, but those might look better on a demo reel simply because they don't have MLP's baggage.
