Thirty Hours (Patreon)

Twelve days ago, I had a fairly concrete plan for what I would work on while visiting Arizona last week. But then I forgot what that plan was during the 30+ hour drive from Florida. Then again, the entire trip didn't quite go according to plan, either...
I didn't have much interest in going to Arizona. My parents had some vacation time to use, but the only resort available was in Arizona. Renting a car and driving there was cheaper than flying, but I wasn't about to let them make that drive by themselves. We have family out there we were able to visit with, but beyond that I'd planned on spending much of the week drawing either in the room or poolside, or anywhere else quiet.
The weather turned cold the day after we arrived, and stayed that way for the rest of the trip. So for much of the week, my parents and I were stuck in the hotel room with the TV on throughout the day. Not exactly ideal drawing conditions.
Other than these sketches, I also worked on some of my laserdisc captures, though those are a mixed bag. Each one had a unique set of problems, the biggest of which was the decoding of AC3 surround sound from one set of discs. The methods for doing so aren't well documented, if at all, so I didn't have any success.
