Now that these first two are fully drawn, I can't decide if I should ink & color them, or add the text to the sketches & move on. There are other ideas that are somewhat time-sensitive, but that has also become a bit of a problem for me, recently.

A month or so ago, I started to realize the damage that the video game industry's ever-increasing demands had done to me. Even on my own, there was this conditioned push to do more, and to do it faster. If I couldn't meet a self-imposed deadline... It was giving me panic attacks.

Now, I'm trying to actively tell myself to take my time, that I don't have deadlines or quotas. Sometimes deadlines can sort of sneak up on me, though.

I'd "lost" a week last month to the Arizona trip, and then the first week of this month to a contract that'd come out of nowhere and needed to be completely quickly. Add to that that I'd barely used Maya for anything in the past 2-3 years...

In either case, it was enough time away from drawing, that I forgot what I'd previously had lined up. My video projects offered necessary distractions, but have also been a bit deflating, but I'll save that for another post.

St. Patrick's Day was something I was reminded of maybe a little too late. I've been thinking on it for a couple of weeks, but only just had the idea for Mimi enjoying a Shamrock Shake today. That may have to do. If nothing else, it's simple.

One other idea might not be the healthiest thing for me to work on. My one niece's birthday is coming up in a couple of days. She would have been 26. I'd been thinking about drawing her for the past month, but now that so much has gotten in the way... It already might've been difficult to work on, but now it would be a rush-job. It might be better if I shelve it, instead.
