Now that the cuddle pile is out of the way, I can collect my thoughts and turn my attention to some of the ideas I've had over the past month or so. Or rather I will, once this week is over and I'm no longer protecting a kitten from two toddlers...

One of the first things I have in mind, is to prototype a new spine rig in Maya. But before I can do that, I need to re-familiarize myself with my Python scripts, as it's been a few years since I've used them. I've also been thinking about doing a video review of Daisy's rig, to highlight what needs to be changed and why.

Apart from rigging, there are so many 3D things I'd like to build. I'd already thought about blocking in a rough model of Disney World's Tomorrowland as a potential VR thing, but now I have an animation that would use it as a background. There are also a number of mostly Disney characters I'd like to use as sculpting practice, before attempting any of my own.

Experimenting with Clip Studio Paint is another possibility, because I have some ideas that sort of follow up on the cuddle pile that would be best if not left on the back burner for too long. Daisy's rig will be useful for one of them, to help figure out the camera angle I have in mind.
