A Whole Mess of Things (Patreon)

I'm allowing myself to be pulled in too many directions again, which hasn't been helped by a car repair fiasco and, most recently, a scare with my computer. I'll get back to those in minute.

Since 3D sculpting has been on my mind for years, I'd like to keep at it, but I feel like I could use other characters to switch off to. Candy isn't exactly one of my favorites, she's just the one that I had a somewhat recent model sheet for. Lily, Mercy, Alice, or even Mimi are other possibilities, but first I'll need to draw front side views of them. There are other characters besides my own that have been on my mind, as well. I should probably put a poll to help prioritize them.

I'm even open to suggestions, with some caveats - I'd prefer to work on characters that don't already have faithful 3D models, or models that are ready to be rigged for animation. My friend is pushing me to give him anything to print, but I'm not there yet.

Aside from model sheets, my comic has been stalled for a while, and I feel like we should check back in on how Mercy is managing the Diner in Daisy's absence.

One other thing that's encouraging me to draw, at the moment, is the trouble with my computer. Last Friday I went to visit family for the weekend. I took my laptop with me, so that I could assemble to bra strap comic strip. I neglected to pack its charger, though. That shouldn't have been a problem, because the fully charged battery should have been good for an hour of use. Except, it didn't even last long enough for Windows to fully load.

When I got back on Monday and connected the charger, my laptop still would not power on. When I finally did get it to power on, then the boot sequence seemed to be stuck in a loop, where it couldn't find the SSD. Once that was resolved and Windows was able to load, I spent the next two days backing up all of my files to external drives, just to be safe.

The thought of having to replace a computer, at a time when hardware is ridiculously expensive, and after getting ripped off (though refunded) on some car repairs... It's been a stressful couple of weeks.
