Your hypnotist can't seem to decide on what to hypnotise you with.

* * *

The world slowed down as your hypnotist raised the pocket watch. Time felt like it was freezing. You knew what was coming. The first swing would capture your attention. The second would wipe the first thought from your mind. You already were finding it impossible to look away.

Right until their other hand caught the watch, and stowed it away. You blinked, trying to find your focus, but they were already raising a crystal, the sparkling shine capturing your attention just as much as the watch. But it too was whisked away before long.

It lingered long enough to catch your attention, to tug at your thoughts with all the pretty sparkles. But then it was gone. Your mind stumbled, expectations floating away. Your hypnotist laughed. “Getting confused? It’s okay. Keep staring. Keep watching. Let’s see where this goes.”

They raised a pinwheel, and started it spinning. Your eyes being drawn into the centre, thoughts scrambling for just a moment, before they caught it, stilling it, and placed it down. “You look so cute like this. Small little moments of trance, adding up in your mind.” They said.

They cupped your chin with one hand, and brought your gaze to their eyes. “So many ways to trance you. All so very effective. Picture them all. The watch. The crystal. The pinwheel, and my eyes.” You tried to focus on all of them, it was hard. Your mind was struggling.

“And drop.” They let go of your chin with a gentle tug downwards, and your mind stopped struggling. It stopped thinking. It just fell, along with your body, toppling forward into them, where they caught you, holding you still. They laughed. “It’s so easy to break your pretty mind.”
