Your hypnotist takes their time, leaving you on the edge of trance. You love it.

* * *

There’s a moment, when your hypnotist has you dangling on the edge of trance, that you wish could last forever. When your mind begins to stretch, thoughts being left behind, and awareness drifting into the depths of mindlessness. And rather than letting you sink, they hold you.

 They dangle you over a precipice of relaxation, and let you hang. You get to feel your body, relaxing. Your eyelids fluttering, wanting to close. The way your thoughts melt into a stretchy, loose, malleable substance. It all feels fantastic. And you want more. You never want it to end.

Because sure, trance feels wonderful. And being aware means you can act on suggestions. But this moment, right here? Between awareness and trance? It’s a blissful stretching of time. Like being a piece of wax, stretching, before breaking. And you want to break.
