I'm having an issue that whenever I load a save, it just brings up a black screen with the cursor visible and nothing else. I can start a new game ok, but its not accepting my save UPDATE: its only the 1 save its doing it with (the one with my human male character who has done everything prior to the latest update). I can load my high elf (male) save ok and my high elf (female) save ok, although the high elf saves don't seem to have any way of progressing past the Westfall farm (all quests there completed but nothing else opening up)

I dunno if its a factor, but my human male save had him still located in Karazhan

I'm not able to replicate the problem, what save slot it is? the human is saved in the main map of Karazhan? and can you open the 5.4 version and save that character on a different zone?

Heya - good tip as hadn't considered that. Reinstalled 5.4 in a separate folder. Was able to access all three saves and the high elf saves had the progression options back (so my high elf male was able to access Duskshire and my high elf female had access to the Deadmines). Moved my human male to Goldshire and saved, then fired up 5.6. Human male loads but has lost access to Duskshire and the Deadmines, There seems to be other weirdness because I've just noticed that they have also lost the Slaves and basement? - can't remember the name offhand - options in the Brothel. Human male is slot 1, high elf male is slot 2 and high elf female is slot 3. Its very odd UPDATE: Well the good news is I've managed to resolve the issue with the human male. Saved it to slot 6 instead on 5.4, fired up 5.6 and it loaded ok. Haven't tested it with the two high elves as I need to get back to work, but its promising

Jesus, that's so weird. When you say that you are not able to access places like Deadmines, do you mean that the arrow to go there is not appearing on screen? There is nothing coded in the game that makes those arrows disappear they should always be showing up. And are you playing the Windows or the Mac version?
