This was very good and impressive really, the details really work.

I also liked this story! However, it also got me thinking about a variation on it. One where the husband just wants his wife to change only slightly, e.g. get darker hair and maybe a tan. And the wife then loving those changes and starts changing herself even more. I.e. this will be about a wife who takes charge of her own transformation. Could be interesting to read.

I like your idea. You could have her leave on her journey of self discovery BEFORE her overall changes are to apparent to her husband, only to return with similar changes as in this story. On her journey, maybe she could work as a stripper and/or prostitute. Looking so complete different that her husband doesn't recognize her, but falls even deeper in love with her when he finds out it's his wife.
