Self Portrait - Jasper National Park iii - (Patreon)

Hello everybody!
This is my last set from the beautiful lands of Jasper National Park. It is one of my most favorite sets that I took on my big road trip. There was a lot of love, and energy put into this. It took me hours to get my focal length and focus right. I wanted the mountains to be perfect colors. I wanted it to feel whimsical and effortless, just like this out of world place feels to me.
This was a long day of driving around. My camera battery died repeatedly and I kept having to go back to this little cafe and charge it. I talked to a lot of locals, and even played with someone's baby that day (which was awesome haha)
The air felt wet with the threat of rain. The wind was warm but the air still had a chill in it. I remember the trees and the water smelled. I cried this day, after this shoot when I decided I needed to head my way to Edmonton. I soaked in every last bit of this place the fastest I could. I drove out during sunset, the mountains soaked in a deep purple, with the tips still white with snow.
The water moved swiftly, with it's deep blue and white colors. I sat at this location for a while (but not too long tbh, I got pretty far from the car and being this close to a body of water at sunset is bear territory.)
Jasper reminded me to dream big dreams. That the world is welcoming and beautiful, we just have to get there. The Earth is one of a kind, and us as humans are too. We circulate in this lonely galaxy, but we can call the mountains and trees our home. We must protect these beautiful lands, they may be the ones we ever get.
I hope you love this set.
