Hello everyone! Happy Monday!

Today I bring you my last self portrait gallery from my HUGE tour a few years ago. Don't worry, I have a lot more self portraits coming soon! Next up is from my desert tour, which includes so many beautiful images, I am so excited to start sharing them!

On my previous post about Theodore Roosevelt National Park, I gush over the landscape and prestine nature. In this gallery I really feel like you get to see exactly what I'm speaking about! This is a mixture of two sets together, that were taken in the same day. I really explored this park as much as I could in the short amount of time I had, since I lost a lot of time due to the rain in the first few days.

I wanted to camp outside on this stop, but I decided to stay in my car due to the rain, I was super afraid my tent couldn't take the downpours and I didn't have a canopy. In these few days, I actually just laid, read books, and stared outside waiting. I even woke up one day to a bison close to my car sleeping in a field! it was crazy!

In those days though, I did drive around, looking around at the dreary emptiness of the park, went to the saloon, and found a ton of beautiful rainbows. I even took a shower at a truck stop for the very first time! haha. I made friends with a few people in the camp, and played cards. I definitely don't feel like it was wasted, and the sun coming out made it even better.

North Dakota is beautiful! I highly recommend coming up this way. South Dakota is even more dense and even more beautiful. The Badlands, and Black Hills Forest make it one of the states with the most unique landscape, in my opinion. You have so much variety between these two places.

North America never ceases to absolutely amaze me. I miss the open road these days, I hope I can make another huge trip soon. They just take SO much time, energy, and they can get very lonely, isolating. I really loved being out there, doing what I love every single day, but it's hard to take care of yourself, and you rely on the comfort of strangers, which sometimes you get and it makes an entire experience, or you don't, you are fine, or it ruins your whole day. Your mood relies on a lot of outside experience which you can't control. You definitely have to be open to the changing tides, and know that sometimes you won't make time, or people will cancel, or you will be lonely that day. It takes a lot of distraction to get used to it, eventually you do, but then coming home feels strange. This was my longest tour, and I learned a lot about what I should and shouldn't do for next time. I even thought about going for as long as a year, but honestly, it takes a lot to convince myself to do it all over again. The adventures are absolutely worth it, but you know that you will lose certain comforts and I'm not yet ready to make that sacrifice at this time. I feel it coming on soon though! In the mean time, I will be traveling by air and then car, or doing smaller trips. Either way, I'm excited for the future, and I'm excited to share more of my self portraits with you.

I hope you love these images!

It's a beautiful set, especially because you're also the photographer. I'm always impressed at your skills on both sides of the camera.
